Granted, we're living in a post-Pain & Gain world, so any movie about gym culture made by people who aren't utter misanthropes is a breath of fresh air, but Dumbbells manages to be pleasant and largely inoffensive despite early indications that it might turn into a T&A-fest.

Synopsis

Aubrey O'Day has been busy since being fired from P. Diddy's girl group, Danity Kane. Her first movie, "American High School," is out on DVD April 7, she graced the cover of the March issue of Playboy magazine, and she's looking forward to future successes.

In O'Day's first movie, she plays a bad girl, Hilary Weiss, who's making a play for Prom Queen and Gwen Adams' husband. Yes, even though it's set in high school, two seniors, played by Jillian Murray and "Laguna Beach's" Talan Torriero, are newlyweds.

Hilary makes life a bit difficult for Gwen as she struggles with newlywed life while still in high school. And it probably doesn't help that the high school is filled with sexually-charged and ridiculous teachers (such as Playboy playmate Nikki Ziering) and immature boys (one who is played by Brian Drolet from season one of "The Hills").
