Next month, a major fan-favorite anime title is leaving Netflix's anime library. Isekai fans only have a little while longer to enjoy Season 1 of KonoSuba: God's Blessings on This Wonderful World via the world's largest streaming platform.

According to What's On Netflix, Konosuba Season 1 will be removed from Netflix's anime catalog on April 15, 2025. Initially released in 2016, the popular isekai series has been available on the site since November 2019. KonoSuba is one of two extremely prominent anime titles slated to leave Netflix next month, the other being the classic '90s supernatural action series Yu Yu Hakusho. The latter anime, which was added to the platform in 2023, will remain available to stream until April 1.

The official X account of Konosuba unveiled a new trailer on Feb 27, 2025, for Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! 3 -Bonus Stage-, an original video anime (Ova) for the 3rd season.

The Ova, which consists of two unaired episodes, is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on March 14, 2025, for a limited two-week run before its Blu-ray Disc and DVD release on April 25.

The unaired episodes are titled “Red Stream Explosion!” and “Nisemono Chui!” (Beware of Fakes!), and reunites the returning cast and staff from the main anime.

Attendees who watch the Ova in theaters between March 14 and March 20 will receive a bonus novella titled Fuyu Shogun Returns (Winter Shogun Returns), written by original light novel author Natsume Akatsuki, while supplies last.

The official Twitter account of Konosuba unveiled the first trailer of season 3 of the anime on Dec 25, 2023. The trailer reveals that KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! season 3 will start airing in April 2024.

Takaomi Kanasaki will serve as the chief animation director at Studio Drive, with Yujiro Abe directing the 3rd season. Makoto Uezu will be in charge of the script, and Koichi Kikuta as character designer.

The popular adventure-comedy anime ‘KonoSuba-God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!’ will return to screens in 2024 with Season 3. The series is renowned for its great animation and mix of comedy, fantasy, and unique characters. Popular particularly with fans of the Isekai and comedy genres, Season 3 has been highly anticipated.

The release date announcement for season 3 was accompanied by a key visual on Twitter, which shows Kazuma and his party embarking on another adventure.

Along with the video, the Konosuba anime in Japanese wrote: “Yes, let’s go on an adventure. A blessing to this wonderful world! 3. TV anime will be broadcast in 2024! ! ! ! Ultra teaser visual released. Please look forward to the continuation of the adventure woven by Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness.”

The series follows protagonist Kazuma Sato after his death in Japan from embarrassing circumstances. After his death he wakes up in front of a beautiful blue haired girl before him called Aqua.
