Growing up in Adelaide, South Australia, Marni worked on stage productions as an actor and dancer, and studied at Ann Peters School of Acting before being cast as Sarah in Murali Thalluri's feature film 2:37. She graduated high school in 2004 and immediately began rehearsals before production commenced. Marni worked on other local films before a re-write and re-shoot of 2:37 was completed. The following year, she attended the world premiere of 2:37 at the Cannes Film Festival, receiving offers of work and representation on the proviso of relocation interstate or overseas. To remain close to her family, Marni returned home to study.

Ever since, Marni has embraced every opportunity for new challenges and experiences as a performer in South Australia, seeking out and championing local projects with passionate creatives. Exploring a wide range of genres and mediums, Marni has worked as an actor, writer and producer across short and feature films, sketch shows, pilots, theatre, MC, voice over, and commercial. Marni also thoroughly enjoys working behind the scenes, where she can be involved in every stage of the creative process, and provide a direct impact on the broader scale of a production. Her commercial business and marketing background has proven particularly useful when producing; enthusiastically connecting her far-reaching network of experienced and talented South Australian creatives to bring dreams to fruition.

Marni is the appreciative recipient of the Launch Film Festival inaugural award for Best Performance in Assimilation. She appreciates each and every one of the many talented and brilliant industry professionals she has had the great pleasure of meeting, learning from and working alongside.
