Exclusive: Gabriel Chavarria (Selena: The Series) is set to executive produce and star in Real Ones, an indie drama from director Nick Anderson, who wrote the script with Alma Leiva.

In the film produced by Justin Nesbitt, the actor will play Joseph, a sharp-witted ex-con fighting to rebuild his life after prison while resisting the pull of his criminal past. Faced with prejudice and the risk of losing his family, Joseph takes a legitimate job at a law firm to prove his worth and redefine himself. But as his charming yet troubled best friend Esteban tempts him back into the world of drugs and gangs, and his fiery partner Tina struggles with her own hidden battles, Joseph realizes redemption isn’t just about changing how others see him — it’s about changing how he sees himself.

Charlotte Kirk Horror-Thriller ‘The Last Bride’ Lands U.S. Distribution Deal Ahead Of AFM

Exclusive: Horror-thriller The Last Bride starring British actor Charlotte Kirk has been acquired for U.S. distribution by Gvn Releasing.

Alliance Media Partners has also joined the supernatural pic as the worldwide sales agent and will continue sales at the American Film Market.

The film will be directed by Nick Leisure (Last the Night). Principal photography is set to commence in early November in Sacramento. The cast includes Ben Elliott (Home Sweet Home), Melany Smith (Good Trouble), and Michaella Russell (#Amfad). The film is described as a “terrifying blend of survival horror” where a young journalist, Tara (Kirk), uncovers a dark family ritual during what was meant to be a charming retreat.

The film was written by Sydney Tooley (Sun Moon) and Kirk. Justin Nesbitt (USS Indianapolis: Men Of Courage) and Missy Valdez (Back on the Strip) are producing and executive producers are Adam Secondo (Golden), Geno Taylor (Beautifully Broken), and Brian McGarry.

‘Twilight’ Duo Kellan Lutz & Cam Gigandet Reunite On Crime Thriller ‘Desert Dawn’

Exclusive: Twilight actors Kellan Lutz and Cam Gigandet are reuniting on screen for the first time in action crime-thriller Desert Dawn.

While Lutz and Gigandet’s characters clashed in Twilight, this time the actors team up as the newly appointed small-town sheriff (Lutz) and his begrudging deputy (Gigandet) who get tangled in a web of lies and corruption involving shady businessmen and the cartel while investigating the murder of a mysterious woman.

L.A.-based sales and production outfit Premiere Entertainment Group is behind the project, which began filming this week in Nevada. The production received a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement to allow filming during the union strikes.

Marty Murray (Paranormal Island) directs the movie from an original screenplay by Chad Law and Johnny Walters.

Premiere’s Elias Axume produces with Al Bravo of Al Bravo Films. Jason Abustan and Mehrab H. Deboo executive-produce alongside Carlos Rincon.

Tyrese Gibson And Harvey Keitel To Star In Action Thriller ‘The Wrecker’

Exclusive: Tyrese Gibson (The Fast and Furious franchise) and Harvey Keitel (Reservoir Dogs) have signed on to star in the action thriller The Wrecker.

The pic is currently shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Filmmaker Art Camacho is directing from an original screenplay by Niko Foster, who also stars in the pic.

The film’s plot follows a dishonorably discharged ex-marine named Tony, now turned car mechanic, whose life takes an unexpected turn when his reckless brother makes a bad decision gaining the unwanted attention of a notorious crime boss.

Foster produces for Chasing Butterflies Pictures alongside Al Bravo for Al Bravo Films. Additional producers include Colin Bates, Eduard Osipov, Michael Pizzimenti, and Hemdee Kiwanuka. Stuart Alson, Nicole Holland, and Elias Axume, Premiere Entertainment CEO, serve as executive producers. Jiarui Guo and Michelle Wang Deppe co-produce.

Dolph Lundgren will star in R. Ellis Frazier's action-heist thriller "Larceny" based on a script by Benjamin Budde. R. Ellis Frazier, Justin Nesbitt and Geoffrey Ross will produce.

The story follows a former-operative-turned-professional-thief (Lundgren) contracted by the CIA to break into and take information from the safe at a top secret Mexican prison facility.
