Netflix released the first batch of photos from the upcoming second season, but hasn’t announced a confirmed premiere date. All the streamer is promising is that season two will debut this summer.

My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 First Look
Image
Netflix has shared a first look at My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2, which is set to launch on the streaming service this summer.

After leaving Silver Falls following Alex’s love confession and her kiss with Cole, Jackie Howard spent the summer in New York City. When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family.

But fitting back in isn’t that easy. Alex, who changed a lot over the summer, isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting).

Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways...

4 dramas worth looking forward to on Netflix in the final half of 2025
Image
Goodness, Netflix is about to deliver the drama. Sure, the streaming giant has already brought us a bunch of drama and thrillers in the first half of 2025, but Netflix has scheduled even more for the rest of the year.

Will all the following be released? They are supposed to be. One already has a release date, but the rest do not.

They were part of the slate of series that Netflix announced would be coming out at some point this year, but the lack of firm release dates should make us nervous. Surely, Netflix would not lie to us, right? At least, these potentially great shows are arriving at some point.

4 dramas Netflix fans will not want to miss that are scheduled in the second half of 2025The Beast in Me (sometime in 2025)

The plot follows a successful author, played by Claire Danes, who has suffered a personal tragedy and removes herself from public life.

Interview: E. Coli, overly nice killer dogs, and other craziness made the Production of A Breed Apart truly Once in a Lifetime!
Image
I’m not sure there are many people that even remember the Wes Craven-produced film The Breed from 2006. Boasting performances from Michelle Rodriguez and Oliver Hudson, it came and went without much fanfare. Which makes it the perfect candidate for a reboot! Updating the story to be about influencers heading to an island, things go awry when the dogs on the island start attacking them. Because if there’s one group of people I’d love to see get attacked by rabid dogs: it’s influencers.

I chatted with directors Nathan and Griff Furst about the challenges of filming in Guatamala that included nearly everyone on the cast/crew getting sick. Page Kennedy (who will always be Radon Randell from Blue Mountain State to me) was very transparent about how he went to bat for his character. And Riele Downs gets into how the dogs were actually much nicer...

'A Breed Apart's Grace Caroline Currey and Riele Downs Face a Wes Craven-Inspired Horror in New Image [Exclusive]
Image
One of Wes Craven's cult classics is getting a spiritual successor this summer in the form of A Breed Apart. Written and directed by The Furst Brothers, the survival horror comedy puts a new spin on 2006's The Breed, a film produced by the legendary Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream director that starred Michelle Rodriguez and followed a group of college kids on a "deserted" island where dogs were bred to kill. The new feature modernizes the concept, instead centering on a private island retreat where a group of social media influencers are confronted with man-eating beasts and forced into a deadly fight for survival that pits them against one another. We're excited to include the chilling survival flick as part of Collider's Exclusive Preview event for summer movies and share a new image highlighting two of the stars who will be thrown to the hounds on...

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods Star Grace Caroline Currey Vs. Killer Dogs In A Breed Apart Red Band Trailer
Image
Late A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Last House on the Left and Scream director Wes Craven was responsible for some of the most iconic movies, characters and moments in horror cinema, but he was also behind his share of duds, and one of 'em is getting a (very) loose remake.

Craven didn't actually direct 2006's The Breed, but he was a producer on the film, and recruited his A New Nightmare assistant director Nick Mastandrea to helm. The movie was not well-received (to say the least), so it was generally assumed that a remake could only be an improvement.

The original movie focused on two brothers and their friends travelling to an island cabin they inherited from their recently deceased uncle for a relaxing weekend getaway. The group is then besieged by genetically enhanced dogs bred to kill via an abandoned training facility on the Island. A Breed Apart...

Charlotte's Absence from Henry Danger Movie: Why She Isn't In the Film
Image
Many fans noticed that Charlotte did not make an appearance in Henry Danger: The Movie, leading to questions about where she is and if Riele Downs (the actress who portrays Charlotte) will ever return to the franchise.

The Henry Danger movie was a major release for the Dangerverse. After Henry Danger and Danger Force aired on Nickelodeon from 2014-2020 and 2020-2024, respectively, the recently released film was the first feature in the franchise.

The Henry Danger movie has performed extremely well since its premiere. It debuted on both Nickelodeon and Paramount+ (where it is still streaming), and even held down the number one spot in the streaming service's top 10 movies for a few days, causing many to wonder what that could mean for a potential sequel.

Hayden Panettiere joins Virginia Gardner and Grace Caroline Currey in A Breed Apart
Image
Back in June 2024, we learned that Fall stars Virginia Gardner and Grace Caroline Currey would be starring in an upcoming remake of the natural horror film The Breed. Well, guess who just joined the cast? Scream star Hayden Panettiere! She, along with several others, will be starring alongside Gardner and Currey in the new horror film.

Wait! We need to clear some things up about this movie first. It's not actually a remake. It was initially believed to be one, but instead, it's a sequel to The Breed. It's also been given an official title, A Breed Apart.

While it's still unclear who is writing the script for the film, filmmaking brothers Nathan and Griff Furst (Nightmare Shark) will be directing and producing via their Curmudgeon Films production company. In addition, Daro Film Distribution is signed on to co-produce and will be financing the movie as well.

Back in 2006, the late, great Wes Craven produced a killer dog movie called The Breed (watch it Here), which was directed by Nicholas Mastandrea from a screenplay by Robert Conte and Peter Martin Wortmann and starred Michelle Rodriguez, Oliver Hudson, Taryn Manning, Eric Lively, Hill Harper, Nick Boraine, and Lisa-Marie Schneider. Now a remake of The Breed is in the works, going by the title A Breed Apart, and Deadline reports that Hayden Panettiere, who worked with Craven on Scream 4, has joined the cast!

Brothers Nathan and Griff Furst are directing A Breed Apart, and are also producing it hrough their Curmudgeon Films shingle. The Fursts are no strangers to killer animal movies, as Griff’s previous directing credits include Trailer Park Shark, Ghost Shark, Swamp Shark, Lake Placid 3, Alligator Alley, and Arachnoquake. The brothers teamed up to direct the 2018 movie Nightmare Shark.

We’ve previously heard that...

Hayden Panettiere Joins ‘A Breed Apart’ As Survival Movie Based On Cult Wes Craven Film Rounds Out Cast
Image
Exclusive: Hayden Panettiere will star in A Breed Apart. Known for playing Claire Bennet in Heroes, Kirby Reed in slasher franchise Scream and Juliette Barnes in Nashville, Panettiere will take an as yet unspecified role in the film, which uses Wes Craven’s cult 2006 picture The Breed as a jump-off point.

In addition to Panettiere signing on, Deadline can also reveal the film has rounded out its ensemble cast.

Joey Bragg, Troy Gentile, Riele Downs and Page Kennedy will all appear. They join the previously announced Virginia Gardner and Grace Caroline Currey, who were seen together in vertigo-inducing Netflix movie Fall.

Billed as a reimagining of Wes Craven-produced and Nicholas Mastandrea-directed The Breed, the upcoming movie is more accurately a sequel of sorts and is set after events of the first film. The new picture originally bore the same name, but the title has now been tweaked.

The plot...

‘Abducted Off the Street’: Kenya Moore Talks ‘Scary’ Side of Making True-Crime Lifetime Movie
Image
There’s a little-discussed fact that roughly 100,000 Black women and girls are reported missing in the United States each year. Abducted Off the Street: The Carlesha Gaither Story, a gripping new Lifetime movie, aims to change that by drawing attention to one true story that, fortunately, had a rare happy ending. Kenya Moore stars as Keisha Gaither, the mother of 22-year-old Philadelphia nursing assistant Carlesha Freeland-Gaither (Riele Downs), who was abducted in 2014. “When I first read the script, I had to put it down after the first 10 pages. I thought, I don’t know if I can do this,” Moore says. “The subject matter is hard but very important to show and tell.” Moore has also appeared for more than a decade on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but for this project, she left the reality glamour and catfights behind. “This is not any Real Housewives show,” she says, noting...

Riele Downs and Auli'i Cravalho in Darby et les fantômes (2022)
‘Darby and the Dead’ Director Silas Howard Admits His Team Was ‘Haunted’ by Their Own Rules of Paranormal Activity
Riele Downs and Auli'i Cravalho in Darby et les fantômes (2022)
Whenever you’re dealing with ghosts on screen, there are rules that must be followed. Each project has its own means of handling paranormal activity, and what spirits can or can’t do. And in the case of “Darby and the Dead,” director Silas Howard admits that it was hard following the rules he and his own team created.

“Darby and the Dead,” now streaming on Hulu, follows Darby Harper (Riele Downs) as she navigates through her teenage years, all while running a side hustle helping ghosts. Thanks to a near-death experience as a kid, Darby can not only see dead people, but communicate with them, so she assists them in taking care of their unfinished business so they can move on to the great beyond.

Unfortunately, a freak accident at school results in the death of Darby’s former best friend and current popular mean girl Capri Donahue (Auli’i Cravalho...

Riele Downs and Auli'i Cravalho in Darby et les fantômes (2022)
‘Darby and the Dead’ Director Silas Howard and Star Nicole Maines Took Full Advantage of ‘a Window of Representation’ for Trans People (Video)
Riele Downs and Auli'i Cravalho in Darby et les fantômes (2022)
Nicole Maines’ character in “Darby and the Dead” is a lot of things. She’s quick-witted, addicted to texting, absolutely brutal in her insults — and she just happens to also be trans. That wasn’t always going to be the case, but, according to Maines and director Silas Howard, the opportunity to have that representation came too naturally to pass up.

The movie, now streaming on Hulu, follows Darby Harper (Riele Downs) as she navigates through her teenage years, all while running a side hustle serving actual ghosts. Thanks to a near-death experience as a kid, Darby can not only see dead people, but communicate with them, so she helps them take care of their unfinished business so they can move on to the great beyond.
