David S. Dawson was born in 1975 to Carlota Fronteras (Filipino) and Michael Dawson (American). David's parents were a huge influence on him. His mother was a professional singer and his father was a nuclear engineer with a passion for writing and storytelling.

David found his own passion for storytelling during his senior year of high school when he took theater. Everything about it excited him from performing to tech. He attended Baylor University as a theater major.

Throughout his twenties David worked as a concert lighting and stage tech and traveled across the United States. Eventually the desire to tell stories returned and he went back to school to further study filmmaking.

For the past twenty years he has been working and performing in film and television.
