Biography

David Gordon is an award winning writer, story consultant, lecturer and show runner, born and raised in South Africa. He has written over 200 episodes of Telenovela or drama, and created story structure for over 2000 episodes on shows including "The Wild", "Isidingo", "Scandal!", "Bedford Wives" and "Isithembiso". He's been the head writer of "High Rollers", "Isithembiso", "Bedford Wives" and "Isidingo", and was instrumental in the setting up of the third year course in Telenovela at AFDA, the premier film, TV and performance school on the African continent. During his tenure as head writer on "High Rollers" the writing team was twice nominated for best writing team in Telenovela (2017 and 2018) at the South African Film and Television Awards, winning the SAFTA for best writing in 2017. He was co writer of "Welcome to Hawaii" which won Best Short Film at the 2015 Jozi Film Festival. David was on the development team, and story editor, of M-Net's daily drama, "The Wild", which received international recognition when nominated for a Rockie Award at the 2012 Banff World Television Festival in Canada. "The Wild" was also nominated for best writing team in soap at the SAFTA awards in 2013.
