Danish actor Peter Secher Schmidt was born in Denmark in 1963. Peter started his career in 1995. He has many special skills that are useful in the actor branch. Peter is for example very athletic, can speak a lot of dialects and has a big comedian talent. He has taken part in many theater plays such as "Oliver", "My Fair Lady", "Miss Saigon", "Peter Pan", "Guys and Dolls", "Showboat", "Honk - the ugly duckling", "Cabaret", "Sound of music", "Pirates of Penzance" and many more.
Peter has been working with danish audio books for both children and adults such as "Last night in twisted river" by John Irving and "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts. He has performed on the screen in many Danish commercials, and has been dubbing many Disney and other cartoons into Danish versions. In 2002, with his soft husky voice, he was chosen as the Danish voice of "Frieza" in the animated Manga series Dragon Ball Z (1989). In 2024 he once again dubbed the character "Frieza" in "Dragon Ball - Super". In 1999 he was chosen as the character "Ed" in the TV-series "Ed, Edd and Eddy". And in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2015 he was chosen as the character "Theodore" in the cartoon feature films "Alvin and the chipmunks" (1-4). He has appeared in several danish feature films and TV-series - latest in the drama "The girl with the needle" (2024/2025) as the character "The prosecutor" (nominated at Cannes Film Festival 2024 (Palme d'Or) and Oscar-nominated 2025) and in the TV-series "Families like ours" as the character "Gorm" (2024).
