Quiver Distribution is set to give the thriller Detained a limited theatrical release in the United States on August 2nd, and will also be giving the film a digital and VOD release that same day. Abbie Cornish of Sucker Punch, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, the RoboCop remake, Geostorm, and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan stars in Detained, which is coming our way from director Felipe Mucci, who was previously at the helm of the 2020 thriller Two Deaths of Henry Baker. Scripted by Mucci and Jeremy Palmer, Detained has the following synopsis: In the dead of night, Rebecca wakes in a decrepit precinct, accused of a hit-and-run. But a deadly scuffle reveals a sinister plot.

Signature Ent. has debuted the official UK trailer for an animated feature titled Ainbo: Spirit of the Amazon, a Peru + Netherlands co-production from filmmakers Richard Claus & Jose Zelada. Get ready to return to the world of Hanna-Barbera with a new animated series. Jellystone! is coming to HBO Max later this month, and the streamer has released a preview for the upcoming series. Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and many more beloved characters from the Hanna-Barbera universe will appear in Jellystone!.

HBO Max has released the official trailer for Jellystone!, the upcoming animated series from C.H. Greenblatt. The cartoon is the first official series to feature Yogi Bear since the early 90s series Yo Yogi!, and the famous animated bear has gotten a bit of a modern makeover for the new show. Ahead of its premiere on HBO Max on July 29, you can get a peek at the series by watching the new trailer below.

A logline for the series reads, "Welcome to Jellystone! Travel to a magical town where you'll meet new and old friends, including Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, Boo Boo, and Huckleberry Hound...and Jabberjaw and Top Cat and Snagglepuss and El Kabong and Wally Gator and Johnny Quest and Hadji and Shag Rugg and Captain Caveman and a whole lot more."

DuckTales fans still reeling from the reveal of Donald Duck’s long-lost twin sister (say what?!) won’t have to wait much longer to see the cliffhanger play out. The second season of the hit animated series will premiere on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 am on Disney Channel, TVLine has learned. What’s more, DuckTales has also been renewed for Season 3.

The second season of Disney Channel’s DuckTales doesn’t hatch for another month, but the cable net today renewed it for Season 3. Watch the announcement video above.

The series follows the highflying adventures of Duckburg’s most famous trillionaire Scrooge McDuck (voiced by Doctor Who alum David Tennant); his mischievous triplet grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie and temperamental nephew Donald Duck (Tony Anselmo). But, don't worry because the show is scheduled to come right back the following week with the new episode 10. So, be sure to mark the Sunday, December 10,2017 date down on your TV show calendars. It's a very important date. It's currently unclear why the show is taking a break on December 3rd. It could be due to scheduling versus the amount of episodes they need to air this season. Often times , there are a lot of breaks with a TV show when the episode order count isn't that large because it leaves a lot of open weeks to fill before May.

Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar and 20th Century Fox have all released new posters for their upcoming animated films. Disney and Pixar have released posters for Cars 2 and Winnie the Pooh while Fox has released a few posters for the animated bird comedy, Rio. All three movies are definitely ones we are looking forward to and the favorite out of all of these is the Pooh poster.

Cars 2 comes to theaters June 24th, 2011 and stars Owen Wilson, John Ratzenberger, Bonnie Hunt,Tony Shalhoub, Cheech Marin, Larry The Cable Guy, Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer. The film is directed by John Lasseter, Brad Lewis.

Four new posters for Rio, the new computer animated feature to come out of Blue Sky Studios, has been released by 20th Century Fox.

Synopsis:Set in the magnificent city of Rio de Janeiro and the lush rainforest of Brazil, the comedy-adventure centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind.

When Blu discovers there’s another – and that she’s a she – he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. Rio brings together a menagerie of vivid characters, a heart-warming story, colorful backdrops, energizing Latin and contemporary music, and family-friendly song and dance.

With the end of the writers strike, casting has picked up on some of the pilots ordered before and during the work stoppage.

Tim Peper has been tapped as one of the two leads in the CBS comedy pilot My Best Friend's Girl, and Bernardo De Paula has joined another NBC pilot, the comedy Zip.

On the cable side, Dorian Brown is set as a lead in the ABC Family series Roommates, while Michael Mosley has been added to A&E's drama pilot Danny Fricke.

Girl, from Sony Pictures TV and writer Mike Sikowitz, is a multicamera comedy about two male best friends who own a bike shop and whose relationship becomes complicated when one (Peper) starts dating the other's ex-wife.

Zip, also from UMS, centers on Trip Stringer (Steven Weber), a guy with no money living in Beverly Hills who, with the help of his Latino partner, Hugo (De Paula), and a colorful cast of accomplices concoct one scheme after another in the hopes of making it big and securing the glamorous Beverly Hills lifestyle for his three children.
