Vardis Marinakis

I am a Greek film director. In 2021 I directed the abduction thriller limited series "Silent Road" which was acquired by Beta Films, presented at Canneseries '22, sold to USA, Canada, Mediaset Italia and ranked 2nd in prime time Italy. For the last twenty years I have been directing numerous commercials, branded entertainment films one of which "From the Start" won the golden lion in CannesLions 2017. I have directed two feature films which premiered, official selection in Karlovy Vary film festival and won several international awards. The first one is BlackField (2009) and the second one Zizotek (2019). I graduated from London's National Film School where I studied under leading British director Stephen Frears.
