The Steamiest Netflix Original Horror Movie Ever Is a Powerful Profile of Remote Sex Work
Image
Sex work is a profession that has long been maligned by the masses. For years, our society has stigmatized and attacked sex workers based on a lack of understanding and perhaps an absence of empathy. If you value the idea of enriching your perspective, you may want to check out the Netflix original horror film Cam. This 2018 feature offers a sympathetic portrayal of sex work while simultaneously speaking to the perils of the industry and the ways in which models find themselves at elevated risk by virtue of simply reporting to work. Not to mention, the picture also touches on themes of identity, the pitfalls of Internet culture, and objectification.

Isa Mazzei who penned the script for Cam is a former webcam model. By virtue of that past experience, she has a unique perspective on the subject matter and plenty to say. Mazzei previously told Vice that she initially wanted...

Mythic Quest canceled; creators promise new version of finale for fans this week
Image
Mythic Quest, the Apple TV+ series partly created by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, is officially ending its journey, as the show will end after its fourth season. However, even though the series itself will done, the creators are going to ensure that the loyal fans will get a nice surprise that will give the show the send-off they deserve.

The fourth season of Mythic Quest just concluded last month. Yet, the finale, “Heaven and Hell” wasn’t meant to be a series finale. Thus, a revised version set to air this week will serve as a true conclusion.

A joint statement was issued by McElhenney, Mythic Quest co-creator Megan Ganz and EP/co-star David Hornsby. “Endings are hard. But after four incredible seasons, Mythic Quest is coming to a close. We’re so proud of the show and the world we got...

'Mythic Quest' Gets Canceled, but There's Good News
Image
It's always a little awkward when you tell someone about a celebrity's death and that person has never heard of them to begin with. It's the same way with TV shows. "Have you heard that Swagger was canceled? "No, I haven't heard of Swagger to begin with." That's often the case with Apple TV+ shows, which are some of the most wonderfully produced and star-studded series since the days of streaming began. The problem is, most people have never heard of them, give or take Ted Lasso and Severance. Well, if you haven't heard of Mythic Quest, it's a delightful show, and you should watch it, though it's a little too late now. The series, which recently ended its fourth season (and a brief anthologized spin-off), has been canceled.

Created by three of the very funny minds behind It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mythic Quest had a lot of people rooting for it.

‘Mythic Quest’ Canceled By Apple After 4 Seasons; Final Episode To Be Updated “So We Could Say Goodbye, Instead Of Just Game Over,” Creators Say
Image
Apple TV+’s Mythic Quest has come to an end. The streamer has opted not to renew the gaming workplace comedy series for a fifth season. The decision comes days after the Season 4 finale dropped March 26.

Since it had not been conceived as a series finale, the Season 4 finale will now get a new ending to give fans closure. The updated episode will be made available next week.

“Endings are hard. But after four incredible seasons, Mythic Quest is coming to a close. We’re so proud of the show and the world we got to build — and deeply grateful to every cast and crew member who poured their heart into it,” series creators/executive producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby and Rob McElhenney said in a statement Friday. “To all our fans, thank you for playing with us. Beyond the Gates’ Karla Mosley Shares Travel Woes
Image
Dani seemed almost out of control when her ex-husband, Bill, married Hayley on Beyond the Gates. She brought a gun to the wedding, scaring the crap out of everyone in attendance. While Dani has a lot of dramatic issues going on, Karla Mosley recently shared a real-world struggle she had; although it (thankfully) pales in comparison to Dani’s issues.

All Heck Broke Loose

Mosley shared on her Instagram page a photo of her with several snacks. She captioned it, “When you’re delayed at the airport and using Every Last Penny of that meal voucher on snacks you don’t need!

This ‘Mythic Quest’ Relationship Is a Powder Keg About To Explode
Image
It would be easy for a show like Mythic Quest, now four seasons in, to just stick to the tried and true. Instead, more than halfway through the season, this latest installment of Mythic Quest has been making some incredibly bold and interesting choices. There is an entire episode framed around a murder mystery party that Dana (Imani Hakim) secretly threw so that she could propose to Rachel (Ashly Burch). The season has also introduced love interests for Brad (Danny Pudi) and Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), as well as, most recently, Poppy's pregnancy.

Image
The most adorable low-fi entry in the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Concierge, will return to Netflix with Season 2 this year. Released on December 28, 2023, Pokémon Concierge was a very different take on the iconic franchise as the first stop-motion animated series in the saga, which focused less on battling and more on relaxation, giving viewers the ultimate chill viewing experience. The series follows Haru, a young woman in her twenties who is a workaholic at a resort for Pokémon and learns to slow down and value herself.

During the Pokémon Presents showcase for Pokémon Day, it was confirmed that Season 2 of Pokémon Concierge would debut on Netflix in September 2025. Netflix released an official teaser (see below) on their social media, which included some new Pokémon for the series, including the electric Shinx, the flashy fire-type Arcanine, and the water-type Corphish. This ‘Mythic Quest’ Storyline Is a Huge Risk — and It’s Already Paying Off
Image
When Mythic Quest's murder mystery party turned into a proposal from Dana (Imani Hakim) to Rachel (Ashly Burch), it pulled off a fantastic twist. That wasn't the only twist of the episode, though; in the very last scene, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao) complained about the taste of the gummy worms she was eating, and Carol (Naomi Ekperigin) pointed out that she might be pregnant. It initially looked like this would be a one-episode plotline, but at the start of this week's episode, Poppy tells Ian (Rob McElhenney) that she's pregnant and she's going to keep the baby.

What to watch this weekend Jan. 31, 2025: TV awards contenders
Image
Apple TV+ has come a long way since its debut, when it was more of a nebulous idea than a fully functioning streaming platform. One of the service’s best comedies from those early days, the Emmy-nominated Mythic Quest, is still chugging along though. The show, which follows a group of coworkers at a video game studio, returns this week with a fourth season that proves the series is comfortable in its skin but is smartly evolving alongside its characters as they enjoy the fruits of their labor in an ever-changing video game landscape.

In its long-awaited return — the first two episodes of which are now streaming — Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao) is finally embarking on her own journey, which proves difficult for Ian (co-creator Rob McElhenney), who struggles with their diverging paths. Elsewhere, the success of a new game leads to questions of proper compensation for Dana (Imani Hakim), while the...

‘Mythic Quest’ Season 4 Is the Courageous Apple Comedy’s Best Yet — and Pairs Perfectly with ‘Severance’
Image
Finding your work/life balance has been a buzz-phrase long enough that merely mentioning the word “boundaries” is enough to send anyone listening sprinting back to their lousy job or horrible home life. “I know I work too much! I know I don’t spend enough time with my friends and family! Hello, welcome to capitalism — now stop telling me to ‘find balance’ like it’s a lost puppy or something else that actually exists.”

But, dear readers, what if you really were empowered enough to achieve such stability? What if the challenge of balancing work and life wasn’t practical, but psychological? What if you — now bear with me here — love your job so much it becomes your life? What if you truly love your co-workers, too? What if you get so much fulfillment out of doing what pays the bills that it’s impossible to imagine doing anything else?...

If you love It’s Always Sunny, here’s why you should be watching Mythic Quest
Image
Mythic Quest season 4 is here, and there are good reasons why any fan of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia should check this comedy out!

Every streamer has those shows that don't get the acclaim of other series on the same streamer. With Apple TV+, Ted Lasso has gotten massive accolades and Emmy wins, but Mythic Quest hasn't gotten as much attention. And that's a shame, as the show deserves a lot more viewers.

Created by It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars and writers Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney, Mythic Quest centers around the company behind Mythic Quest, a hit video game. The characters bounce off each other as they try to present a new expansion of the game. With season 4 now streaming, new episodes are released Wednesdays, the show has flown under the radar, but works nicely. There's several reasons any fan of It's Always Sunny should be watching it.

Don’t Sleep on ‘Mythic Quest,’ Rob McElhenney’s Other Dark Comedy
Image
This month, the world has been shocked to learn that AppleTV+ does actually employ a few people who know how to market its shows. Or, maybe, just one show: Severance. The famously under-watched platform released the first eight minutes of the Season Two premiere. The official Severance podcast booked Adam Scott’s A-list friends to talk about it. Its four leads showed up in a transparent pen at New York’s Grand Central Station, wearing their show costumes and wigs, to pretend to work at their terminals.

It makes sense for Apple to put resources behind a show that has critics slavering in a way I haven’t seen since Succession went off the air, but it’s really overshadowed the other dark workplace comedy it’s bringing back this month: Mythic Quest, which with four seasons to its name is one of Apple’s longest-running shows, not to mention...

Image
Mythic Quest season 4, which premieres Jan. 29, 2025 on Apple TV+, has a new trailer that hints at a fun cameo from an It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor, and some excellent insight for the new season!

The main cast members include Rob McElhenney, best known for his role as Mac on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia along with David Hornsby, who plays the long-suffering Cricket on the show. The new trailer shows McElhenney's It's Always Sunny co-star, and Quest co-writer, Charlie Day popping up as what looks like another tech rival. Check out the...
