Biography

Lena is an actor and singer recently relocated to Austin, Texas after having living in Los Angeles, California and New York City for the past 15 years.

She has gotten the opportunity to work with amazing talents such as Grammy Award winner Eric Whitacre, Grammy Award winner Hila Plitman, Oscar nominee Sally Kellerman, SAG award winner Shea Whigham, Drama Desk Award winner Andrea Burns, Ovation nominee David O, Ovation nominee Greg Chun and many others.

She has sung with the Fort Worth Symphonic Chorus which performed at the Meyerson Symphony Hall with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Carnegie Hall with the New York City Pops. She also performed in the Angel Chorus for the choral presentation of Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings at the Disney Concert Hall and was in the world premiere of the same musical at Theatre @ Boston Court which was nominated for 10 Ovation Awards. She's had the honor of performing in two world premier musicals at the Kirk Douglas Theatre; A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings and The Very Persistent Gappers of Frip. She has performed in many national and regional commercials.

Lena has studied with The Groundlings (improv), Georgia Stitt (musical theatre), Rick Wasserman and Debi Derryberry (voice over), Anne-Lynn Kettles (Meisner/Hagen), Margaret "Peggy" Loft (Linklater), Margie Haber (on-camera), Lyle Kanouse (on-camera), Gerald White (sight reading) and is currently studying voice with Zeffin Quinn Hollis.

She is working in the voice over world and sings with many groups around Austin.

(wee career highlight was getting to be one of the many 'potential slayers' on Buffy the Vampire Slayer...but you'll have to squint and pause...there were a lot of us).
