Emanuel Parvu is a Romanian film director, actor and writer. Born in Bucharest, Romania, he graduated from the National University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in 2006 . His Trois kilomètres jusqu'à la fin du monde (2024) premiered in the Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024, winning the Queer Palm. EFA member, he started the first Film Acting Master Studies in Romania at Ovidius University in Constanta - alongside Adrian Titieni, Daniela Vitcu and Radu Niculescu. Other notable works as director - Totul e foarte departe (2018), Meda sau Partea nu prea fericita a lucrurilor (2017) and Mikado (2021). Notable works as actor - Familiar (dir. Calin Netzer), Miracle (dir. Bogdan George Apetri), 5 minutes (dir. Dan Chisu), Aniversarea (dir. Dan Chisu), Tales from the Golden Age (dir. Cristian Mungiu).
