- Fanny Grande (Formerly Fanny Veliz) is an award-winning Venezuelan-American filmmaker, actress, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. As the CEO and co-founder of Avenida Productions, she has been a driving force behind the production of numerous independent films, TV series, and digital content, dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices, particularly within the Latino community.
Fanny's career began in front of the camera, where she worked on various television shows and films, gaining recognition for her acting talent. However, her passion for storytelling soon led her behind the camera as a director, producer, and writer. Her work has garnered critical acclaim, with her projects winning awards at film festivals across the country.
In 2022, Fanny co-launched Support Our Story, a leading crowdfunding platform focused on supporting diverse creators. She also spearheaded the launch of A+, a streaming platform committed to distributing English-language content by and for Latinos in the United States.
Fanny is also an advocate for greater diversity in Hollywood, consistently pushing for Latino representation in media both in front of and behind the camera. Through her leadership, she continues to empower a new generation of filmmakers and storytellers.
In addition to her work at Avenida, Fanny has served on the board of Nosotros, an organization that promotes Latino talent in the entertainment industry.
