One of the most celebrated Showrunners to have successfully Directed and Produced 5 genres of television including Reality/Documentaries; Scripted Comedy Series, Late Night Talkshows; Lifestyle Makeovers & Stand-up Comedy. Gomes continues to be a politically active entrepreneur who has owned radio stations and hosted the Gen44 Entertainment Committee for President & First Lady Obama. She launched her career in 1990 and is recognized for running Magic Johnson Entertainment, The Tom Lynch Company and Eddie Murphy Productions. 2021 saw Gomes direct and produce the critically acclaimed FX/New York Times Presents: MALFUNCTION: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson which explores the controversial Super Bowl performance by Jackson and Justin Timberlake. Gomes celebrated her film directorial debut with the multi-award winning Amazon release of documentary film, "One Child Left Behind: The Untold Atlanta Cheating Scandal." The film garnered 8 wins at the top 25 film festivals including the Jury Award at Pan African Film Festival and Best Documentary at American Black Film Festival. Gomes secured "The Wayne Williams Story", a multi-part first person account true crime docu-series on the alleged Atlanta Child Murderer. Additionally, Gomes is slated to direct the controversial "Warrior Mom Film" featuring fellow Autism advocates Jenny McCarthy, Jacqueline Laurita and Best Actress Emmy Winner Maura West. Her credits include a long list of format creation of new original series, for which she Executive Produced and Directed including Bravo's "Married to Medicine," WETVs "Spirits of Atlanta" and the high profile A&E Series, "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty", which debuted with a 3.6 rating and still airing in over 50 countries; the multi-million dollar "Jamie Foxx Laffapalooza" franchise on Showtime, Comedy Central and TBS. The successful stand-up comedy series has featured Steve Harvey, DL Hughley, Will Smith, Cedric The Entertainer, Kevin Hart; Starz's latenight talk show, "Ryan Cameron Uncensored" featuring Big Boi, LL Cool J, Neyo, Warrick Dunn, Mike Epps; The 2006 Grammy Awards Salute to Gospel Music, with Pastor Shirley Caesar, Smokie Norful, Richard Smallwood and Andrea Crouch; "So So Def TV," reality series with Jermaine Dupri for Turner; TV One's "Makeover Manor," the first makeover show for African Americans (65 episodes); "That Comedy Show," a highly rated original series for Turner. As an executive, Gomes developed CBS comedy series "The Royal Family," starring legendary Redd Foxx and Larenz Tate; with director Stan Margulies and Suzanne De Passe on ABC mini-series "The Jackson Family: An American Dream." While serving as Head of Development at Lynch, Nickelodeon's "The Secret World of Alex Mack" and Showtime's "The Shadow Zone," received Emmy noms.
