Rick Mordecon is a Writer, Director, and Producer working in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. In that time, he has written 8 screenplays, including "Cleo", and "Anna's Wish" which are currently in pre-production. In addition, he just completed his Sci Fi Novel OFFWORLD - ORIGINS. Jax Media, a division of Ron Howard's company Imagine Entertainment is currently attached to produce his scripted series PHARAOH. Rick has written 4 scripted series and 5 stage plays.
His feature film "One Night Stay", a psychological thriller, for Paramount/BET, which he co-wrote and directed, has been released and has consistently been one of the top watched films on the network.
He has directed and produced a variety of projects including live concert events, as well as features and television specials for Jennifer Lopez, Jay-Z, Maya Angelou, Ludacris, The Def Poets, Ashford, and Simpson, and DMX. He directed Grammy Awards Amplifier winner ChinahBlac's video "Keep Your Word" for The Recording Academy.
Rick co-produced 3 episodes of DMX's television series, "Soul of a Man" and produced, directed, and edited "I Am What I Am", and "Ballroom 2.0" for PBS' "In The Life". Other producing credits include "Ushers Project Restart" and "Jay-Z-Fade to Black".
Rick's play "Sun Under Earth" which he also directed received its first staging at The Signature Theatre in NYC. Other stage directing credits include "Automatic Earth" by Kevin Cunningham at Signature, and "Blue Suede Gospel" by Kevin Sessums at HERE.
In 2008 Rick formed his production company, TerraHouse Productions, LLC. Rick is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
