The Long, Emotional Road To Rebuilding Mental Health After The Fires
Image
Amanda Kloots knows better than most what it’s like to absorb the impact of a large-scale tragedy. Kloots stood at the bedside of her husband Nick Cordero in 2020 as the actor waged a brutal battle with, and eventually died from, the devastating effects of a new virus.

She has a few pieces of guidance for those suffering a different crucible five years later.

“Don’t be afraid of sitting in it — sitting in your sadness and fear,” the talk-show host told a group of L.A. fire survivors and their allies on a Zoom call several days ago. “And you have to give in to ‘I need help.’ You have to not be afraid…to let your guard down.”

The destruction wrought by the Palisades, Eaton and other Los Angeles fires has left the significant physical challenge of rebuilding, with many unanswered engineering and environmental questions. But just as important,...

Sharon Osbourne Did Not Return To The Talk For Its Finale – The Reason Will Shock Fans
Image
After a 15-year run on CBS daytime, The Talk is coming to an end. While it was thought that some past hosts may make a return for the big series finale, one of them that is not is Sharon Osbourne. Cts has the scoop on the stunning reason why.

Sharon Osbourne’s Reason For Missing The Talk’s Finale

The Talk’s very last show takes place on December 20, 2024. Current co-hosts Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Jerry O’Connell will say goodbye to fans, and the entire show is expected to be a major event.

Some viewers believed the show would ask some former hosts to appear for the finale, and one such personality included Sharon Osbourne, who acted as a host on the talk show that mirrored The View, from 2010 to 2021.

Still, according to the U.S. Sun, some former Talk co-hosts declined to come to the finale as allegedly,...

Listen to each other, talk to one another, don’t fight with each other, really appreciate each other’s opinions, because that’s what we got to do everyday. And it was so beautiful.

After 15 seasons, over 2,000 episodes, and a week’s worth of final celebrations, The Talk has closed up shop. The series finale on Friday (December 20) was a celebratory look back on the show’s Emmy-winning run, with hosts Sheryl Underwood, Natalie Morales, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, and Akbar Gbajabiamila getting special shoutouts from celebrity friends, superlative awards presented by America’s Got Talent‘s Howie Mandel, and montages looking back on their years of hosting. The longest montage was made for Underwood, who’s the only host on the daily talk show who’s been around for 14 of the 15 seasons. Why is The Talk ending?
Jerry O'Connell, Sheryl Underwood, Natalie Morales, Amanda Kloots, and Akbar Gbajabiamila in The Talk (2010)
After 15 years of being a staple in CBS’ daytime lineup, The Talk is taking its final bow today.

Last spring, news broke that The Talk would end with a shortened Season 15.

This entire week, the hosts have been celebrating the legacy of The Talk ahead of the final episode.

Fans of The Talk aren’t ready to say goodbye, and many wonder why the show was canceled.

Let’s take a look at what we know.

Why is The Talk ending?

Why The Talk’s Og Hosts Didn’t Return For Final Episode
Image
The Talk aired its final episode on Friday, December 20. Some viewers will catch it live, while others will stream it the following day on Paramount Plus. But the Og co-hosts won’t be attending the finale. They still have beef with Sheryl Underwood.

Bad Blood

The Talk Og co-hosts Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen Moonves, and Carrie Ann Inaba will not appear in the final episode. Only the current panel, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, Natalie Morales, and Sherly Underwood, will be in attendance. An insider told The U.S. Sun that most of the bad blood stems from Sheryl.

The comedian was previously accused of encouraging a “toxic work environment” and “forcing out” the Og co-hosts. Another insider dished more details on the behind-the-scenes drama. Sharon was asked to return to the talk show but turned it down because of her feud with Sheryl. It turns out she wasn’t the only one.

The crowd hit the stage to celebrate alongside hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood, as they gave their last farewell.

“We thank you all for watching and laughing, sometimes even crying along with us,” Morales said. “We thank everyone for being here with us. How ‘The Talk’ Signed Off After 15 Seasons On CBS
Image
“I just wanted to know why everyone is being so nice today.”

That’s how host Jerry O’Connell kicked off the final episode Friday of The Talk, which is signing off at 2,993 episodes and 15 seasons on CBS. After receiving raucous applause from the studio audience — a handful of whom have been attending the Studio City, CA. taping of the daytime talk show since day one — host Amanda Kloots choked up as she reflected on how important it’s been to listen to one other and “really appreciate each other opinions.”

“That’s what we got to do everyday,” Kloots said through tears. “It’s about talking, not fighting, and being apart of each other’s family.”

For host Sheryl Underwood, her 14 seasons on the show has been about “fashion evolution.” “You’ve seen things happening for me,” said Underwood, who later admitted off-camera that she never really learned to walk in heels.

‘The Talk’ Shocking Reason Sharon Osbourne Refuses Finale Return

‘The Talk’ Producer Previews the Series’ Final Live Show, Including a Tribute to the Hosts By Howie Mandel
Image
“The Talk” executive producer Rob Crabbe is getting a little too familiar with TV goodbyes. A year and a half after his previous talker, “The Late Late Show With James Corden,” signed off, he’s now doing the same thing on Friday with “The Talk.”

It’s a different kind of show, and therefore a different kind of goodbye. But still, there are similarities to the sign-off. “The emotional undercurrent of what the shows were trying to accomplish is the same,” Crabbe told Variety. “You’re trying to express joyfulness. You’re trying to make people feel something. And with ‘The Talk,’ we’re giving everybody a little break in their day, the routine of it. This is a respite in your day, where you can come and laugh and watch five people that really like each other have a really good time on television. That emotional currency will be...

Why ‘The Talk’ Decided To Keep Finale Week In The Family And Not Invite Back Former Hosts To Help Say Goodbye
Image
When CBS’ The Talk signs off for good on December 20, it will be Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood sharing their final goodbyes — not the myriad of hosts who came before them.

Though all the previous emcees of the show will be honored in a goodbye package, it was important that these final episodes be about the current hosts, explains Executive Producer Rob Crabbe. (Founding host Holly Robinson Peete was on October 1 but was primarily there to promote Queens Court on Peacock).

“The show at its core is about these five people who get along very well, who enjoy being with each other and get to share their opinions on television every day,” Crabbe, who joined the show in season 14, tells Deadline. “I didn’t want to go away from the core tenet of the show.”

In fact, finale week which kicked off December 16 has...
