Maya is a Birmingham-born screenwriter and actress. She is the creator and writer of ITV drama DI Ray starring Parminder Nagra. As an actress, Maya is best known as PC Maneet Bindra in the BBC drama Line of Duty and as Shazia Khan in Citizen Khan.
