Daughter of Luís Maria Cabral Norton de Matos (b. Lisbon, 14 December 1953), maternal grandson of the Representative of the Title of Marquess and 4th Count of Tomar Nobleman of Coat of Arms of da Costa (crest) and Cabral with a brica in blue for difference with crown of Count that should be of Marquess, and former and first wife and distant cousin Maria Rita Cardoso Franco de Sousa (b. 1954), great-great-great-granddaughter of the 1st Viscount of Benagazil Nobleman of Coat of Arms of Machado (crest) with a brica in gold for difference with crown of Viscount then of Count for being a Peer of the Realm. Her former stepmother, Alexandra Maria Pires Nunes, is a fashion model under the name Xana Nunes. Current stepmother is Joana Leitão Tito Martins. Has an older brother named Luís Maria Franco de Sousa Norton de Matos (b. 16 December 1974), a commercial pilot, and two younger half-sisters: Carolina Pires Nunes Norton de Matos (b. 17 August 1989) and Maria Tito Martins Norton de Matos (b. 10 December 1997). Her surname Norton is of English origin. She also has distant English and Welsh ancestry.

Daughter of actor Norton de Matos.

First cousin once removed on her father's side of director José M. Norton and actress Mariana Norton.

Has a daughter, Luz Norton de Matos Pina e Melo (b. 7 April 2006). Her father is Gonçalo Pina e Melo (b. 1977). She and Gonçalo Pina e Melo split in the beginning of 2007.

Gave birth to her second child at age 36, a daughter named Flor Norton de Matos Areias on 11 May 2016. Child's father is her then fiancé, Ricardo Areias (b. 1982).
