Nkechi Okoro Carroll originally started producing for theater in New York and Philadelphia before she finally made the move to Los Angeles to transition from theater to film and television. Nkechi hails from Nigeria but was raised in New York, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, and England. By the time she was 14, she spoke three languages fluently and was performing and training with the Oxford Youth Theatre in England. Nkechi received her B.A. in Economics and French from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998, and her master's in International Economics from New York University in 2002.
