Is the producer of the first gay pornographic films that
Sean Paul Lockhart, aka Brent Corrigan, appeared in while underage. After it was revealed that Lockhart was underage, he and Phillips (legal name Bryan Charles Kocis) became embroiled in a legal dispute over whether Lockhart could legally make pornographic films for other producers, and whether or not he could use his screen name "Brent Corrigan" which made Lockhart famous and Phillips wealthy. On 1/24/07, Phillips was found stabbed to death in his burnt-out Dallas Township, PA house. Two other pornographic-film producers,
Harlow R. Cuadra and
Joseph Kerekes, were convicted of his murder (Cuadra first degree and Kerekes second degree) in 2009 and are serving life sentences with no chance of parole.
