Live-streaming video app Meerkat is joining forces with GoPro to allow users to stream directly from their cameras. The integration marks the first time Meerkat has extended the ability to broadcast beyond a mobile device, CNBC reported on Thursday after Meerkat made the announcement at VidCon. Founded by Nicholas Woodman, San Mateo-based GoPro is popular with extreme sports enthusiasts and adventurists who will now be able to live stream themselves skydiving, rafting down rapids or jumping off cliffs.
