Toby was born and raised in a very small town in the Mid-South by a wonderful mother and her amazing parents. His grandfather, Kenneth Turner was a "Radio Man" who along with his brothers had built and operated several radio stations connecting exceptionally rural areas to the rest of the world. With their support he left home for New York City as soon as he was out of High School. There he was taken in by the very kind faculty of The National Shakespeare Conservatory where he took three years to complete a Two Year Professional Actor training program returning as a summer faculty member a few years later. While in NYC he was lucky enough to work continuously in theater. Credits include multiple Off & Off-Off Broadway shows, 4 national tours and even 3 seasons with the Eglevsky Ballet. He was also fortunate enough to work closely with Mark Zeller, Maurice Edwards, Greg Wolfe & Sue Lawless on several productions.
Later he relocated to Central Florida where he joined the acting companies of NBC Universal, Walt Disney World, Sleuths Murder Mystery Shows, & Pirates Dinner Adventure. With Universal he was a part of the creation casts and opening casts for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - a position that lead to him joining the acting companies of Universal Studios Japan & Universal Studios Hollywood to open their versions of the Wizarding World. Most likely you or someone you know has a photo with him !
From there he turned to Artistic Management joining the Performance Director team with Feld Entertainment assigned to the world's largest touring stunt shows - Marvel Universe LIVE and Jurassic World LIVE until the world wide Covid Pandemic closed all live entertainment. That's when he turned back to his EMT medical background and began working in Covid Compliance for the Film industry serving as a Health & Safety Manager and eventually the Director of Production Health & Safety for Miramax.
As of 11-15-2022 he has returned to his roots as an actor in Los Angeles on various film, TV and new media productions as well as treading the boards again as the villainous Captain at Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park, CA.
