some fun with a hat in a second hand store we were shooting in
The career of Dave Ross defies categorization. His thirtieth year in the film and television industry has been decorated with three Emmy nominations and an Emmy award in Outstanding Cinematography. His experience has taken him to 85 countries to date around the world and he's bringing his talents home to launch yet another successful media endeavor. If you've watched television before, then you've seen his work. He's done over 150 shows and movies to date and many of the shows he helped to formulate are still on the air and going strong. Network hits like "The Amazing Race", and "Undercover Boss" are two CBS shows that Ross worked on from the beginning and helped make them successful. Animal Planet's "Northwoods Law" is another ongoing success and is the formula used for many of the law enforcement shows on the Discovery umbrella of networks. His career started in 1993 and he quickly became employed by Ohio's largest production company, Classic Worldwide Productions. They were responsible for interviews and specials hosted by Walter Cronkite, Barbara Walters and David Frost to name a few. His interest in worldwide production was truly ignited in 1999 while preparing to kick off "Shark Week" for Discovery Channel. Ross was responsible for much of the prep work and did host camera with Forrest Sawyer on the never before done "Live From A Shark Cage". It was from there his career really took flight and signed on with "The Amazing Race". "The reality era began and I wanted to be a part of it. I was able to utilize my talents on an international level and have fun doing it", says Ross. Ross continues his production expertise in sports productions and movies and was involved in the Peacock film produced by LeBron James titled "Shooting Stars". Ross' latest challenge is the creation of the Local Broadcast Network. "It's a cross between Netflix and local television", explains Ross. "Viewers have choices of international programming, or programs created in their own community. The exciting part about LBN is the franchise opportunities. The idea is to make LBN the go to place for entertainment and news in your community. The name works well because no matter where you are, it's local!" Franchisees have the ability to sell advertising opportunities right in their own communities. Additionally franchisees get network support of the LBN hub offering entertainment from around the globe, and unlike Netflix, Local Broadcast Network is totally free for the viewer!! "We're very excited about what we've seen so far in the early stages of its launch and can't wait to see what the future holds making a difference in communities around the country", Ross says.
