Doctor Who Audio Review: “The Company of Friends – Mary’s Story”

Welcome to the first of my reviews of Big Finish’s audio plays! For those of you who don’t know, these are (usually), full cast audio adventures based on various properties. They have ones for Dark Shadows, Highlander, Stargate, Sherlock Holmes, and, relevant to this review, Doctor Who.

Their Doctor Who line features past Doctors and their companions. So far we’ve had the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Doctors and beginning next year, we get adventures with the 4th Doctor, along with, at various points, Leela, Romana and K-9. Fun times!

This particular story is a lead-in to several current and upcoming Big Finish audios featuring the 8th Doctor (Paul McGann), and his new companion, a young woman by the name of Mary Shelly (Julie Cox).
