Britt Rentschler is an award-winning actor, filmmaker, and creative coach whose work spans independent film, television, major studio features, and original content creation. She is best known for Sundance Alum and Emmy Nominated Uncle Frank (Amazon), Instant Family (Paramount), and Pretty Problems - the SXSW Audience Award winner that she also co-wrote, produced, and starred in. Pretty Problems went on to also win the Jury Award at the Sonoma International Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award at the Maui Film Festival.
Her television credits include Shots Fired (FOX), The Detour (TBS), Lodge 49 (AMC), NCIS: LA (CBS), The Resident (FOX), and Castle (ABC), among others. A graduate of the University of Central Florida's MFA Acting program and the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, Britt is also a member of MENSA, Women in Film, and a practicing Reiki Master and artistic coach.
Known for her smart, comedic, and emotionally dexterous performances, Britt draws comparisons to Allison Janney and Kathryn Hahn - with the commanding presence of Gal Gadot. A queer, genre-fluid filmmaker with a sharp comedic voice, her work has earned praise from Forbes, Variety, Deadline, NPR, IndieWire, and The New York Times. Whether leading from the screen or behind the scenes, Britt brings wit, warmth, and bite. Her characters don't follow the rules - and neither does she.
