Justin McDonald is a Royal Television Society Award winning actor, writer and producer originally from Tyneside in the north east of England. He received a scholarship to attend Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, where he gained a BA in Acting. He went on to complete his studies early to play a series lead in the prime-time ITV drama 'Distant Shores'.

Since then, McDonald has continued to work as an actor in film, television, theatre and radio. His screen work has seen him playing leading roles in many acclaimed television productions and feature films. In 2023 he won a prestigious Royal Television Society Award for best actor in a drama performance for his work on BFI film 'FIST'.
