Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage premiered in October 2024 and has aired its first seven episodes to date before going on mid-season hiatus through the holiday break. The sitcom, which serves as a sequel to Young Sheldon and, by default, also a prequel of The Big Bang Theory, centers on the life of eldest Cooper child Georgie (Montana Jordan) and his new role as a husband and father.

Taking place immediately following the events in Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage got off to a strong start, receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences, alike. While a second season renewal hasn’t yet been made official, fans can look forward to more Season 1 episodes soon.

Exclusive: We’ll be seeing a slew of music industry icons and visionaries portrayed in the upcoming second season of American Soul, the Don Cornelius-infused period drama, set for premiere on Bet in 2020.

American Soul takes an unflinching look at the entrepreneur, his Soul Train dancers, crew and musicians in an unforgiving Hollywood in the 1970’s – how they work, play, rise and fall against the backdrop of Soul Train — “the hippest trip in America” and one of the most predominant television shows for African American culture.

Inspired by the personal trials and professional successes of a young, ambitious and troubled impressario Cornelius, season two of the period drama picks up two years later in 1975. As Don, played by Sinqua Walls, becomes a rising star, he continues to manage an assortment of spectacular talent that comes to his show, a shaky family life, personal health and perhaps most importantly, his own ego.

Updated: Disney Plus opened its doors Tuesday — but some fans immediately encountered problems trying to access the streaming service.

Multiple users on social media said they had trouble signing in to Disney Plus when it first went live, while others said they had problems accessing specific content or using features (like setting up a watch list).

Irate users vented online, sharing screenshots of errors messages that said “Unable to connect to Disney+.” One of the error messages, appropriately enough, showed characters from Disney’s “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Ralph Breaks the Internet” movies (pictured above); another one shows Mickey Mouse and Pluto in spacesuits adrift on an asteroid.

Disney Plus’ customer help account on Twitter blamed the problems on unexpectedly high demand. “The consumer demand for Disney+ has exceeded our high expectations,” the company said in a tweet at 9:59 a.m. Et. “We are working to quickly resolve the current user issue.

Independent production and distribution studio The Asylum announced today that the company will release its first theatrical film, supernatural horror project #Holdyourbreath on October 5, 2012. The film stars Katrina Bowden, and Randy Wayne.

Based on the urban legend that you can breathe in evil spirits when passing cemeteries, #Holdyourbreath follows seven friends embarking on a weekend camping trip who pass a run-down cemetery and find themselves arguing about the legitimacy of the urban myth. When one friend refuses to hold his breath while passing by, he finds himself the unwitting host to a notorious serial killer who jumps from body to body in order to pick off each of the friends one-by-one. The film's release will include an aggressive social media campaign focusing on the urban legend.
