Neil Young Performs Eighties Deep Cut ‘My Boy’ for First Time in 42 Years
Image
Neil Young played his first full show of the year Friday night at a special benefit for Ontario’s Lakefield College School on the campus grounds. It was a frigid, rainy night, and tickets cost upwards of $1,500, with all the money going towards the restoration of a 116-year-old cottage near the school.

Unlike his upcoming Love Earth Tour with the Chromes Hearts, this was a solo, acoustic show. The 18-song set was heavy on standards like “Comes a Time,” “Sugar Mountain,” “Heart of Gold,” “Helpless,” “I Am a Child” and “After the Gold Rush.

Leah Hooper Rosa, executive vp, streaming lead Emea at Warner Bros. Discovery, discussed the Max launch in the U.K. that is planned for 2026 as part of its broader rollout across the globe. “We are striving to be a top 3 streamer with Max” overall, she said. In the U.K. overall, she acknowledged the competitive nature of the market but expressed confidence. “It all comes down to content,” she said. “If we don’t have great content, we are not going to survive.”

Eurosport To Be Replaced By TNT In The UK As Warner Bros. Discovery Shakes Up Sports Portfolio
Image
Storied sports channel Eurosport will disappear from British screens next month as Warner Bros. Discovery rejigs its sports portfolio. Live sports and other programming from Eurosport will move to the TNT channels, which are operated as a joint venture between Wbd and UK telco BT.

Eurosport majors in cycling, tennis, winter and fight sports – coverage of which will port to TNT. The combined offering will continue to also be available on the Discovery+ streaming service. For fans of cycling and events on Eurosport the change will come at a cost. The Eurosport channels were carried in the basic packages of pay-tv platforms, while TNT Sports is a £30.99 ($38.54) per month premium service.

The move to consolidate the sports offering under the TNT brand was flagged when Wbd and BT hammered out their Jv. It is the end of a sports era given Eurosport has been available in the UK for 35 years.
