Who Is Seth MacFarlane? All We Know About the Creator of ‘Family Guy’
Image
If you’ve ever laughed at a talking baby trying to take over the world or a beer-loving dog dishing out life advice, then you’ve already had a taste of Seth MacFarlane’s wild imagination. As the creator of Family Guy—one of the longest-running animated comedy series of all time—MacFarlane has cemented his place in pop culture history. Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Explains Why She and Boyfriend Ken Urker Live Separately
Image
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and her boyfriend Ken Urker welcomed their first child, daughter Aurora, in December 2024, but despite being in love and enjoying being first-time parents, the couple still live apart. Blanchard opened up about the situation on the Monday, May 19 episode of her Lifetime reality series, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, where she explained she isn’t allowed to live in the same household as Urker until her parole is up. Her parole is scheduled to end on June 25, 2025. “Everything is day by day right now,” Blanchard said in the episode, per EOnline. “So, we’re just winging it. It’s hard to keep up a relationship whenever you’re living in two separate places, and you’ve got schedules that interfere.” Blanchard served seven years in prison for her role in the death of her mother, Dee Dee. Her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, killed Dee Dee on June 9, 2015. Godejohn...

Genndy Tartakovsky’s Original Idea for Dexter’s Laboratory Was a Ballerina Dancer: “I was just doodling this girl”
Image
In the ‘90s golden era of animation, Dexter’s Laboratory surfaced as a far-reaching force: quirky, smart, and different from anything viewers had seen before. But behind the cartoon’ futuristic setting and sibling anarchy lies a much daintier, almost poetic origin story. Genndy Tartakovsky, the maker of the show, did not begin this journey with a boy genius and secrets devices.

In fact, the first spark for the show came from a completely different muse: a ballerina. Brainstorming ideas as a film student, Tartakovsky casually sketched up a lanky girl mid-dance. Little did he know that an unplanned doodle would one day evolve into Dee Dee, and eventually, one of Cartoon Network’s most legendary duos. What started as a mindless doodle of a whimsical ballerina ultimately redefined the direction of modern animation in the cartoon industry.

Ironically, Dee Dee paved the way for Dexter’s Laboratory

The creator of...

Creator Genndy Tartakovsky on Why ‘Dexter’s Laboratory’ Is a Hit: “None of us were married and we didn’t have kids”
Image
Dexter’s Laboratory creator Genndy Tartakovsky says his singlehood while working on the animated series was partly responsible for its success. Speaking in an interview, the ace animator shared his unorthodox point of view regarding relationships, as he implied that the show was successful because they were all single.

Almost three decades after the first episode of Dexter’s Laboratory aired on Cartoon Network, Tartakovsky shared the reason for the show’s success. The animated series narrated the story of a young science prodigy, Dexter, who did several science experiments in his laboratory. However, his experiments received challenges equally from his sister, Dee Dee, and his rival, Mandark.

While the storyline was intriguing enough to ensure Dexter’s Laboratory’s success, the 55-year-old Russian origin creator hints at something else. According to Tartakovsky, it was his and his team members’ marital status that played an important role.

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Breaks Down as She Addresses Telling Daughter About Mom’s Murder
Image
On the Monday, May 12, episode of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup, viewers witnessed the arrival of baby Aurora—a moment that left Gypsy-Rose Blanchard contemplating how she would one day have to tell her newborn daughter about her past. Blanchard served seven years in prison for her role in the death of her mother, Dee Dee. Her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, killed Dee Dee on June 9, 2015. Godejohn was sentenced to life in prison, while Blanchard was sentenced to 10 years in prison for second-degree murder. Growing up, Blanchard was a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a disorder where a parent or guardian either makes up fake symptoms or causes real symptoms to make it look like the child is sick. After welcoming her daughter with boyfriend Ken Urker on December 28, 2024, Blanchard was overcome with emotion as she thought about how she’d eventually have to have a conversation with Aurora about her past.
