Biography

    • Chadden is an award-winning documentary film director and producer with over 25 years global experience.

From Antarctica to the Amazon, the Himalayan mountains to the Sahara desert, Chadden has filmed, scripted and documented spectacular scenery, wildlife and human interest stories in all corners of the globe.

After completing a 'Gorillas in the Mist' style PhD on gelada baboons in the mountains of Ethiopia, Chadden worked with National Geographic, PBS and Discovery Channel, filming everything from tribal ceremonies in Africa to killer whales in Antarctica. As a staff producer/director at the world famous BBC Natural History Unit he has spent most of the last 18 years directing and writing for Sir David Attenborough on a string of seminal global titles.

Planet Earth 1 & 2, Wild Arabia, Frozen Planet, Life and Seven Worlds One Planet are among titles that have scooped over 20 Emmy and Bafta awards. Chadden joined Wildbear Entertainment as an Executive Producer where his recent award-winning film The Platypus Guardian landed on Amazon Prime and Apple TV. His upcoming feature documentary, The Raftsmen, branches out from natural history to focus on the world's longest ever raft journey. The film, co-produced with Dogwoof International, will make its Hunter Films world premiere at the Sydney Film Festival in 2025.

Chadden now run a vibrant slate of factual films and TV series for global broadcasters. Chadden collaborates globally as a Director, Writer, Show Runner and Executive Producer on world class premium content.
