Which is a sign this ain't going to be good. This meta action star concept sounds like a spin-off from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The next generation of action heroes push Nic Cassino off his perch. So he goes to Italy to work with struggling Italian directors on the first-ever "Neo-Realist" action movie trying to revitalize his career. But as they stumble through cultural clashes and a chaotic production, Nic's comeback attempt spirals into a wacky journey of mishaps, reinvention, & unexpected discoveries. Dominic Purcell stars as Nic Cassino, and the cast includes Ugo Dighero, Miriam Candurro, Marcello Romolo, Carlotta Natoli, Fabio Avaro, Lucianna DeFalco, Simone Mazzella, and Alessia Santalucia. Ischia is an small island off the coast of Naples.

Acclaimed actor Ray Stevenson is set to make his way from the gilded halls of Asgard to the cobblestone streets of Italy. Per a report from Deadline, Frank Ciota's next upcoming drama film Cassino in Ischia will have Stevenson in the lead role as a disgraced action star who struggles to figure out how to revive his career while coping with the consequences of forsaking family for fame. The film is property of Republic Pictures and will be distributed by Paramount.
