"I'm doing this film to prove I can act." Republic Pictures via Paramount has unveiled an official trailer for an action comedy called Cassino in Ischia, arriving to watch in October on VOD directly. Which is a sign this ain't going to be good. This meta action star concept sounds like a spin-off from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The next generation of action heroes push Nic Cassino off his perch. So he goes to Italy to work with struggling Italian directors on the first-ever "Neo-Realist" action movie trying to revitalize his career. But as they stumble through cultural clashes and a chaotic production, Nic's comeback attempt spirals into a wacky journey of mishaps, reinvention, & unexpected discoveries. Dominic Purcell stars as Nic Cassino, and the cast includes Ugo Dighero, Miriam Candurro, Marcello Romolo, Carlotta Natoli, Fabio Avaro, Lucianna DeFalco, Simone Mazzella, and Alessia Santalucia. Ischia is an small island off the coast of Naples.
