    • Mark H. Young is an artist, designer, writer and director. Born in New York, he went to college for architectural design, but left school to become a fine artist. His art work was featured at the Hirschhorn Art Museum in Washington, D.C.

      In 2007, he wrote, produced and directed "Southern Gothic", starring William Forsythe and Yul Vazquez. It screened at 2008 SXSW and was released by IFC Films. Horrorview.com said, "Serious-minded and intelligent horror films like this don't come along too often."

      In October 2007, Young was hired to write and direct "Tooth and Nail" starring Michael Madsen, Vinnie Jones, Robert Carradine, Rider Strong and Michael Kelly. The film was written in 2 weeks, produced in 2 weeks, and shot in 17 days. It premiered at 2007 Screamfest Los Angeles and was released on 500 screens by Lion's Gate as part of the "Eight Films to Die For" series.

      In 2008 Young wrote, directed and produced the ultra-low budget feature "The Killing Jar", starring Michael Madsen, Harold Perrineau, Amber Benson, Jake Busey, and Danny Trejo. It was released theatrically by New Films International.

      Young completed the drama "Wicked Blood" in 2015, starring Abigail Breslin, Sean Bean, James Purefoy, Alexa Vega, Lew Temple and Jake Busey. It premiered at SBIFF and was released by Entertainment One.

      His horror/thriller "Feral" (2018) starring Scout Taylor-Compton, Olivia Luccardi, Lew Temple, Renee Olstead, was released theatrically by IFC Films. The film received numerous good reviews, including The New York Times. Cinemablend said, "Consistent tension and some surprisingly emotional beats... solid scares and a few thrilling sequences that showcase the action-horror chops of director Mark H. Young."

      Young recently completed the drama/comedy "Limbo" (2018), starring an ensemble cast that includes Lucian Collier, Peter Jacobson, Richard Riehle, Veronica Cartwright, James Purefoy and Lew Temple.

      When he's not working on features, Young directs commercials and rides motorcycles.
