Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Evolution Eliminator – Jaida Parker def. Thea Hail The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Jaida Parker became the first Superstar to move on in the Evolution Eliminator as she defeated Thea Hail, albeit not without controversy. Hail attacked Parker before the match even began and launched a ferocious assault, culminating in her devastating signature Kimura Lock. Parker appeared to tap out and Hail relinquished the hold to celebrate, but the official never saw the tap, prompting Parker to hit a Hipnotic to knock Hail out and win the match.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Evolution Eliminator – Lash Legend def. Kelani Jordan The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Lash Legend became the next Superstar to advance in the Evolution...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Stephanie Vaquer def. Jacy Jayne The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

La Primera sent a message to her Vengeance Day opponent Nxt Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley by defeating her Fatal Influence cohort Jacy Jayne in a thrilling bout. Stephanie Vaquer was on her game early as she tossed her opponent around the ring, but the numbers game favored Jayne as Jazmyn Nyx distracted the official, allowing Jayne to gain the advantage. After an intense back and forth, Vaquer hit the Svb and stared a hole through Henley as the referee counted to three.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Ridge Holland def. Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Oba Femi def. Axiom The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

No. 1 Contender Oba Femi sent a message to Nxt Champion Trick Williams after dominating Axiom in singles action. Axiom, one half of the Nxt Tag Team Champion, was outmatched physically as The Ruler used his strength to toss the high-flyer around. Femi’s strikes were so massive that they began to leave hand prints all over Axiom, but the Spanish Superstar dug deep to try and cut down the big man. Axiom went for broke by attempting a Golden Ratio, but he was caught by Femi and planted with a Fall From Grace Powerbomb.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: The Meta-Four def. Sol Ruca & Zaria The following is...

Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…

Match #1: Damage Ctrl vs. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson (No Contest) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Former Nxt Women’s Champions Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane returned to Nxt for a tag team match against The Meta-Four’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, but they left with even more enemies. Sky and Sane’s quickness was met with sheer power from Lash Legend who at one point dribbled their heads like basketballs on the middle rope. With the action going back and forth inside the ring, SmackDown’s Chelsea Green and Piper Niven crashed the scene and forced a No Contest by laying out all four Superstars.

My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Jaida Parker def. Tatum Paxley The following is courtesy of wwe.

Match #1: Jordynne Grace, Masha Slamovich & Sol Ruca def. Wendy Choo, Rosemary & Tasha Steelz The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

The crossover continues as we kick things off with a huge tag team showdown! Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace joins forces with Masha Slamovich and Nxt’s Sol Ruca to battle Tasha Steelz, Rosemary and Nxt’s Wendy Choo. After falling victim to the numbers game, Ruca is able to explode out of the corner with a Sol Snatcher to Rosemary. Ruca makes the tag to Slamovich, who goes on the attack. After Steelz delivers a thumb to the eye of Slamovich, Grace tags herself in and puts Steelz away with the Juggernaut Driver.

Match #1: Wendy Choo & Rosemary vs. Jordynne Grace & Sol Ruca (No Contest) The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:

After an early advantage by Grace and Ruca, Ruca hits a huge moonsault to the floor, followed by Grace diving onto their opponents. The night kicks off with Jordynne Grace teaming with a mystery partner from Nxt, revealed by liaison Arianna Grace to be Sol Ruca! The action starts immediately as Wendy Choo and Rosemary face Grace and Ruca. As the match reaches a turning point, Grace is about to hit the Juggernaut Driver when Tasha Steelz storms the ring, attacking Grace and causing a disqualification. But before she can do more damage, Masha Slamovich rushes to the ring, forcing Steelz to retreat. The match ends with...

Match #1: Nathan Frazer and Axiom def. Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Former Nxt Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom earned a championship opportunity by defeating Andre Chase and Ridge Holland’s teammates Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne. Frazer and Axiom’s textbook high-flying offense, highlighted by Frazer’s Falcon Arrow, set the stage for Axiom to pin Osborne. With the win, the team known as “Fraxiom” will officially challenge Chase U for the Nxt Tag Team Title at No Mercy.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Wendy Choo def. Lola Vice The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The champions wasted no time as they attacked the challengers before the bell, taking out Lash Legend and leaving Jakara Jackson to fend for herself. Ms. Jackson was up to the task and fended off Fyre and Dawn before Legend re-entered the fray, leading to an all-out battle between all four Superstars. Match #1: Sol Ruca def. Izzi Dame The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The first entrant into the Nxt Women’s North American Title Ladder Match at Nxt Battleground was determined when Sol Ruca and Izzi Dame went toe-to-toe for the honor. Ruca looked to use her aerial attack but took a hard fall to the outside before Dame chucked her onto the announce table. Dame, even without former mentor Kiana James by her side, grounded the high-flying Ruca. Just as Dame looked to be in control, Ruca hit the Soul Snatcher, booking her ticket to Las Vegas.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Otm def. Edris Enofé & Malik Blade The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Match #1: Roxanne Perez def. Tatum Paxley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Roxanne Perez is one step closer to Stand & Deliver as she defeated Tatum Paxley, challenged Lyra Valkyria, and attacked the champion once again. Before the match could even begin, Paxley attacked Perez as the two brawled at the ringside area. Paxley put up a fight, but a Pop Rox into a crossface from Perez sealed the victory. After the match, a sling-wearing Valkyria confronted The Prodigy only for Perez to lock her in a crossface as well.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into the review and see what happened this week as the road to Nxt: Stand and Deliver continues…

Match #1: Battle Royal – Winner: Axoim The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The coveted fifth and final spot in the North American Championship Fatal 5-Way was decided in a Battle Royal and when the dust settled, Axiom became the last Superstar standing. The field featured some of Nxt’s greatest Superstars, including the likes of Axiom, Dijak, Jinder Mahal, Apollo Crews, and Dabba-Kato. After Crews and Mahal were eliminated, Axiom, Nathan Frazer, and Charlie Dempsey teamed up to eliminate the gargantuan Dabba-Kato, leaving them as the final three competitors. Axiom managed to outsmart Dempsey and eliminate him, leaving the masked Superstar and Frazer as the final two. The two high-flyers proceeded to move about the ring in impressive fashion,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into the review and see what happened this week…

Match #1: Nxt Tag Team Championship Match – Gallus def. Pretty Deadly The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Gallus boys remained on top as Mark Coffey & Wolfgang dispatched their long time rivals Pretty Deadly in an incredible matchup. The champions were rolling early, but the clever tricks like distracting the referee by Elton Prince & Kit Wilson gave the Yes Boys some life. As the action continued, Pretty Deadly neutralized Wolfgang by sending him into the announce table and the chaos allowed Wilson to nail Coffey with the title, but he managed to kick out. Pretty Deadly never recovered from that as Wolfgang reappeared, allowing them to isolate Wilson and retain their championships.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Nxt Women’s Championship Qualifying Match – Zoey Stark def.

‘WWE Nxt’ Review (Feb 7th 2023)
Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. This week’s episode has the fallout from the weekend’s Nxt Vengeance Day show, so let’s get into the review and see what happened…

Match #1: Zoey Stark def. Sol Ruca The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Not many Superstars have generated as much buzz in recent weeks as Sol Ruca has, but the fierce Zoey Stark made it a point to put a stop to all the chatter. Ruca started off hot, using her acrobatic offense to keep Stark off-balance, but a springboard splash went awry when Stark got her knees up. The ferocious Stark didn’t let up after that and after a series of strong strikes, she hit her devastating knee lift to put Ruca away. However, her post match beatdown of Ruca didn’t go as planned as the athletic Ruca...

‘WWE Nxt’ Review (Nov 22nd 2022)

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Without further ado, let’s get into the review… hey, that rhymed!

Match #1: Cora Jade def. Wendy Choo The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Weeks of insults lit a fire under Wendy Choo, as she took the action to Core Jade early in their grudge match. Jade used Choo’s aggressiveness to her advantage, as she used a strategic counter to gain the upper hand. Choo rallied, using her signature sleepy offense to disorient Jade, but a distraction allowed Jade an opportunity to throw Choo’s drink in her face and hit her with a devastating Ddt for the win.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Ivy Nile def. Kiana James The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Representing Diamond Mine, Ivy Nile immediately took control against Kiana James, utilizing her athleticism and her pure power.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Without further ado, let’s get into the review… hey, that rhymed!

Match #1: Joe Gacy def. Cameron Grimes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Joe Gacy is looking to lead Schism into a new, more dominant chapter, but first he was hoping to conquer the resistance from Cameron Grimes. As the action in the match heated up, Grimes would decleat Gacy with a pair of kicks that had the match headed to the moon. A new viciousness was on display, as Gacy whipped up a crushing backbreaker as The Dyad swarmed on the outside. Grimes would battle back with an incredible Poison Rana and took out Gacy, Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid on the outside. Grimes would then take the opportunity to head to the top rope, but Ava Raine would derail his potential victory and...

‘WWE Nxt 2.0’ Review (Sep 27th 2022)

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt 2.0, which featured bizarre scenes of Gallus being arrested following their match! With that let’s get into the review…

Match #1: Mandy Rose def. Fallon Henley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Looking to beat some respect into Fallon Henley, Nxt Women’s Champion Mandy Rose taunted Henley while she delivered a series of kicks. The abuse only fired up Henley as she dropped Rose with a kick to the back of the head and a massive right hand. Rose rallied to toss Henley around the ring with a variety of slams and suplexes. Henley fought through the pain to deliver a facebuster for a nearfall, but after trading a couple right hands Rose popped up to smash Henley with a running knee to score the pinfall.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Wes Lee def. Tony D’Angelo The following is courtesy of wwe.
