Grab a doobie, Reefer Madness is coming to Los Angeles.

To mark the show’s 25th anniversary, members of the original creative team are reuniting for a limited eight-week engagement at the Whitley in Los Angeles that opens on May 30. Back are Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell and Alan Cumming, who will produce alongside creators Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney. Andy Fickman, who directed 2005’s Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical, will also produce with America Olivo Campbell.

Spencer Liff, a veteran choreographer with credits on everything from So You Think You Can Dance? to Spring Awakening, will direct and choreograph the revival. The production team includes original cast member Wendy Parker as executive producer, with Maia Falconi-Sachs, Matthew Rosenthal and Nick Padgett taking co-producer credits. David Lamoureux will serve as music director, and Maxx Reed as associate director and choreographer.

Last Friday, which happened to be a Friday the 13th, screenwriters Damian Shannon and Mark Swift shared some pages from the script they wrote for the unmade sequel to the 2009 version of Friday the 13th (watch it Here). In those pages, we got to read the description of a scene where a character would have been killed by iconic masked slasher Jason Voorhees while riding down a zip line. But those weren’t the only pages Shannon and Swift shared from the script last Friday. They also unveiled a couple pages that reveal what happened to Jason’s dad – and you can read them in this embed:

Damian Shannon and Mark Swift were the writers who cracked the Freddy vs. Jason story and pulled that project out of development hell, where it had been trapped for a decade. Six years later, when Warner Bros. teamed up with Paramount and Platinum Dunes for a Friday the 13th reboot, Shannon and Swift were again the writers. Since the reboot made over $91 million at the global box office on a budget of $19 million when it was released in February of 2009, it was no surprise when it was announced that it was going to receive a sequel, to be shot in 3-D and released on August 13, 2010. Deadline reports that Arturo del Puerto (Chicago P.D., Ride Along 2) has secured a recurring role as Carlos on Season 2 of Fear The Walking Dead. Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation didn't have any presence at this weekend's Comic-Con, with Paramount opting to sit this year out. But they have deployed a neat tactic, by releasing a cool 40 second TV spot on the last day of the Con, just so you don't forget that the movie is coming out at the end of this month. Following the three Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation TV spots released earlier this week, Paramount Pictures has debuted two new clips featuring a pair of epic chase sequences. Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, who is seen alongside tech specialist Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) in one of the scenes, which we've seen part of in the trailer, where Ethan takes out a pair of gun-toting motorcyclists with a simple e-brake maneuver. The second clip shows Ethan on a motorcycle of his own, weaving through highway traffic while trying to dodge more nefarious pursuers.

Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt learns why the Syndicate has been so hard to find in the first of three new TV spots from Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation. The video reveals that the Syndicate is comprised of Imf agents who were already thought to be dead, along with more footage of Tom Cruise hanging off a moving plane, in what may be his most daring stunt yet. Each new TV spot and trailer we see features the actor/daredevil hanging off the plane at a higher altitude then the next, but it remains to be seen how high up Ethan Hunt gets before actually "boarding" the plane.

Seven months after principal photography began, director Christopher McQuarrie announced on his Twitter page today that production has wrapped on Mission: Impossible 5. The action-packed sequel, which brings back Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames, was previously set for a Christmas Day release, but was bumped to a July 31 release back in January, giving the filmmaker less than five months to complete post-production. Christopher McQuarrie revealed during a Twitter Q&A session last weekend that the first trailer will be coming soon, although he didn't give a specific date.

No official plot details have surfaced yet, but the director also indicated during the Q&A that the full title will also be announced soon, most likely with the trailer's debut. Yesterday, it was widely reported that production had halted on the set of Mission: Impossible 5 so that the big climactic finale could be reworked. It seems that report, which generated at The Hollywood Reporter, was a little late in its arrival. Entertainment Weekly has confirmed today that, while shooting did stop, it was just over the course of this past week, and everything was back up and running last night.

In fact, a number of photos have come in from the set, as Tom Cruise filmed a late night action sequence as Ethan Hunt, running through the streets of London. Last month, Paramount Pictures made the surprising move to shift their upcoming action sequel Mission: Impossible 5 from December 25, 2015 to July 31, 2015. However, with the release just over five months away, production has halted for "a week or so" after the ending was deemed "unsatisfactory." Writer-director Christopher McQuarrie is currently working on a new ending with an unidentified "writer friend" who will not be paid or credited for his or her work. Here's what an anonymous source told The Hollywood Reporter about the shutdown.

"Chris, Tom [Cruise] and a third person wanted to take a minute to get from what they thought was a good place to a more perfect place."

The source added that the July 31 release date is still intact, and if the studio was really worried about the status of Mission: Impossible 5, they would have pushed the release date. This isn't the first time that Paramount has had third-act story issues.
