Katy Perry's upcoming concert in Manila, Philippines has been postponed due to the Southeast Asian nation's recent tragedy. The show was moved to a later October date and was reformatted as a charity event instead with "American Idol" finalist David Archuleta.
According to local showbiz correspondent Tim Yap on his Twitter page, the MTV Philippines Live event, scheduled to take place on October 3 at the Sm Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, has now been tentatively rescheduled to October 17.
Changes have also been applied. According to reports, instead of the usual concert, the event will now be a fundraising show for the victims of the tropical depression Ketsana which recently hit the country's capital region and nearby provinces in Luzon.
Archuleta has also been reported to co-headline the said show.
