Biography

    • Charles Stewart Alexander Miller (Charlie to his friends) was born to Amanda and Philip Miller in 1983. At five years old he was the youngest person ever employed by the RSC to have a speaking role. He played Simon Russell Beale's page boy in "A Man of Mode" and amazed everyone with his professionalism when he kept in character through a nose bleed and a wig hair in his eye! His last professional stage role was as Macduff's son in Macbeth at the National Theatre (1993). He continued acting with local amateur dramatics groups and at St George's Medical School, where he performed in the student revue and tried his hand at writing, directing and producing for the first time. Charlie developed a love for live comedy when the St George's Medics Revue started taking their sketch shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and in 2003 he earned his first directing credit alongside his good friend Kate Holyhead, for their show "Sex, Lies and Surgical Tape". Charlie now works as a Biomedical Scientist, but continues to perform when he can.
