Billy Corgan has hopped on Zoom to chat about his coming tour with the his new band, the Machines of God, which will revisit Smashing Pumpkins songs from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Machina, and Aghori Mhori Mei at special small-hall shows. The Big Brother household is so conducive to romance that most fans are accustomed to witnessing contestants getting swept up in whirlwind affairs with each new season. Unfortunately, Big Brother showmances rarely blossom into actual relationships, with most unraveling as soon as the cameras stop rolling. Although the show has spawned multiple couplings throughout its two-decade run, only about a dozen are still going strong today.
In terms of longevity, Jeff Schroeder and Big Brother 11 winner Jordan Lloyd undoubtedly blow all other Big Brother couples out of the water. The two have been together since they met on Big Brothers eleventh season, which aired in 2009, making their relationship the longest in the shows history. Warning! This Article Contains Spoilers About Big Brother 26!As she heads to the jury house, evicted Big Brother 26 houseguest Leah Peters hinted at a potential showmance with Quinn Martin. Throughout Big Brother 26, Quinn had a crush on Leah, but she thought of him as a friend. When their fellow houseguests tried to intervene by playing a game in which they wanted Leah to kiss Quinn, she told everyone that it wasn't her style, and she reserves her kisses.
However, later, when Quinn asked Leah if she didn't want to kiss him at all, or if it was because, strategically, it wasn't a good idea, Leah told him that it was probably the second reason. In the Diary Room, Leah even confessed that she thought that she might have a crush on Quinn. When she was evicted, Leah told host Julie Chen Moonves that she couldn't wait to see Quinn in the jury house.

Dr. Will hosted it for many years after winning BB2 and getting invited back for Big Brother: All-Stars (BB7).
Danielle appeared on BB7 with Will after finishing as the runner-up on BB3.
Big Brother: Reindeer Games (this past winter) featured Danielle and Nicole as players. Nicole ended up as the winner after also winning Big Brother 18.

In the waning days of the Nineties’ alt-rock revolution, just before major record labels turned forever away from left-of-center acts and toward more mainstream fare (coughBushcough) that forever made the world a duller place, Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins were two of the hottest young rock bands on the planet. And even though Green Day appealed more to punky skater types, and the Pumpkins fit in better with their sullen classmates on the other side of the detention hall, it wasn’t uncommon for teenagers in 1994 to have both Dookie...

Smashing Pumpkins have announced a new album called Aghori Mhori Mei, which is set for release on August 2nd. The news comes ahead of the band’s upcoming tour North American tour, which includes a mix of headlining shows and dates supporting Green Day (get tickets here).
Aghori Mhori Mei marks Smashing Pumpkins’ 13th album to date. Speaking about the 10-track collection, frontman Billy Corgan said in a statement: “In the writing of this new album I became intrigued with the well-worn axiom, ‘you can’t go home again.’ Which I have found personally to be true in form but thought well, what if we tried anyway? Not so much in looking backwards with sentimentality but rather as a means to move forward; to see if in the balance of success and failure that our ways of making music circa 1990-1996 would still inspire something revelatory.” Check out the album’s artwork and tracklist below.

Smashing Pumpkins have named Kiki Wong as their new touring guitarist.
Following the departure of longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder last October, frontman Billy Corgan put out an open call for his replacement. The band received more than 10,000 applicants, which Corgan then whittled down to a group of finalists who auditioned in-person in Los Angeles last month. He settled on Wong, a veteran guitarist who has performed with the likes of Taylor Swift, Usher, and Bret Michaels, as well as with rock bands Nylon Pink, Hellfire Heart, and currently, Vigil of War.

“Reviewing the work of these incredible musicians was a herculean, albeit worthy effort,” Corgan said in a statement. “First off, I really want to thank everyone who submitted materials for consideration. It wasn’t an easy decision with how much great guitar playing we were lucky enough to hear and see over the past few months.

Big Brother 23 featured Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss.
The BB23 cast members were on the wrong side of The Cookout alliance that summer, leading to their early exits from the game.
But Derek and Claire made it to the jury phase. A romantic relationship developed between them in the jury house.
The secret of the relationship between Derek and Claire was kept close by their fellow jury members, and it only became public after the season finale.
As a reminder, The Cookout dominated that season, taking all six of its alliance members to the end.
The BB23 jury voted unanimously for Xavier Prather to win over Derek Frazier. It made Xavier the first winner of the $750,000 prize. The prize had been at $500,000 for the previous 22 seasons.

The Smashing Pumpkins’ open call for a new guitarist has been a… smashing success. In a social media statement, the current trio of Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin announced they’ve received upwards of 10,000 applications for the gig.
“The band has received over 10,000 submissions for the position of additional guitarist,” Smashing Pumpkins wrote. “Currently, there are 8 people working full-time to review each and every one.”
This past October, the Pumpkins’ longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder announced he was leaving the group after over 15 years. “I’ve decided to leave the band to make some space to explore a slightly different path,” he wrote at the time.
Smashing Pumpkins’ current lineup features Corgan on vocals/guitar, Iha on guitar, and Chamberlin on drums, along with touring bassist Jack Bates and multi-instrumentalist Katie Cole.

In a highly unusual move, the Smashing Pumpkins are soliciting a new guitarist with a general call-out.
The group announced Friday that they’re seeking to add a third guitarist to founding vocalist and guitarist Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha, and drummer Jimmy Chamberlain. The group has big shows scheduled starting in June.
“The Smashing Pumpkins are in search of an additional guitarist,” the band said in a statement posted to social media. “The application process is open to anyone who might be interested.” An email was also listed (see below) for interested guitarists to submit a resume and any related materials.
The call went out after guitarist Jeff Schroeder, who joined the group in 2007, announced his exit.
“The amount of incredible memories created over the last 16 years with the band are almost too numerous to quantify,” Schroeder wrote. “Although it was a very difficult decision to make, I’ve...

Big Brother is considering hosting an all-winners season, fulfilling a longtime viewer suggestion and potentially shaking up the traditional format due to ongoing Hollywood strikes. Viewers are excited about the possibility, as they have been requesting an all-winners competition for years. This would allow houseguests to change their gameplay in a shorter, modified version of the competition. Several iconic winners, such as Ian Terry, Rachel Reilly, Dr. Will Kirby, and others, would be compelling additions to an all-winners season, with their unique strategies and gameplay making for an exciting show.
Big Brother 25 is an ongoing season, but the series is already looking ahead to its winter installment, which may be an all-winners season of returning houseguests competing for the prize. Big Brother 22 was a disappointing season due to the blatant pre-gaming orchestrated by Daniele Donato, which made the gameplay formulaic and methodical. Janelle revealed that Daniele was the one responsible for initiating the pre-gaming in Bb 22, which ultimately led to a predictable outcome and a lackluster season.

Shelly Moore was a contestant on Big Brother 13, where she faced a major disadvantage as a new houseguest against veteran duos. Shelly's time on the show was controversial due to her betrayal of Jeff, causing backlash from fans, but they were able to reconcile after the season. Shelly is currently 53 years old and leads an exciting life outside of the Big Brother house, showcasing her family and passion for Lsu sports on her Instagram account.
Big Brother has had a wide array of houseguests through the years, including Bb 13's Shelly Moore who placed sixth in her season of the series. Shelly was on a fascinating season of the show, which brought in three duos from previous seasons and pushed all the new houseguests to operate in duos as well. Joined by Bb legends Rachel Reilly & Brendan Villegas, Jordan Lloyd & Jeff Schroeder, and Dick Donato & Daniele Donato, Shelly had a disadvantage coming into the game.

One of the more unlikely showmances this summer on “Big Brother 25” is the one between 27-year-old beauty America Lopez and 21-year-old nerd Cory Wurtenberger. They’ve been flirting for weeks in the hammock, in their beds and everywhere in between, but only recently did they share their first smoocheroo. Some time after that, America confessed to Mecole Hayes that Cory is an “awful” kisser and that he’s “just very tense.” But have no fear — she plans on being his “teacher” to help him “practice” throughout the rest of the summer.
The hilarious “BB25” scene was shown on the live feeds on Paramount Plus (watch below).

Ahead of Big Brother‘s return to CBS with season 25, Julie Chen Moonves is opening up to Et about who the network originally wanted as host and how much longer she sees herself working on the reality TV competition.
When asked if there’s anything the fans of the hit series — which sees a group of strangers forced to co-exist in a shared house while they are isolated from the outside world — don’t know, Moonves says that CBS wanted another daytime TV fixture to host. “I wasn’t the first choice to host. It was offered and turned down by Meredith Vieira,” she says of the former moderator for The View.
Although she doesn’t remember how she learned of this tidbit, Moonves says she eventually confirmed the rumor through her husband, former CBS chairman and CEO Les Moonves. “I asked him. I said, ‘You know, I heard stories...

The Smashing Pumpkins headlined Saturday night at their own The World Is a Vampire fest in Mexico City, a festival that also featured Peter Hook and the Light on the lineup. Both of those bands share the same bassist — Jack Bates, Hook’s son — so it was only natural that “Hooky” join Billy Corgan and company for a set-ending performance of Joy Division’s “No Love Lost.”
Hook and the Pumpkins previously partially collaborated in 2021 when Hook, Bates and guitarist Jeff Schroeder re-recorded Joy Division’s “Ceremony” to raise funds for Sweet Relief.

Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf now have some company. Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss won “The Amazing Race 34” on Wednesday, becoming the second “Big Brother” team to claim the 1 million prize on its fellow CBS reality show.
After moving into first place during the drive to the Roadblock in Nashville, the couple, who met last summer on “Big Brother 23,” never relinquished their lead. They beat long-lost twins Emily Bushnell and Molly Sinert and married couple Luis Colon and Michelle Burgos.

Not counting Season 31’s reality showdown that pitted “Race,” “Big Brother” and “Survivor” stars against each other, Derek and Claire were the fourth “Big Brother” pair to race around the world. Alison Irwin raced with her then-boyfriend Donny Patrick, who was not a “Big Brother” houseguest,” in Season 5, coming in 10th place. Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder finished seventh in Season 16.
