    • Maaike Neuville (°1983) is a Belgian actress and director.

Her career got a jump-start as she starred in various short and feature films such as Dennis van Rita by Hilde Van Mieghem, Dirty Mind by Pieter Van Hees, Droomtijd by Tom Van Avermaet, Of Cats & Women by Jonas Govaerts and Code 37 - the movie by Jakob Verbruggen. Maaike played lead characters in De Indringer by Frank Van Mechelen, Swooni by Kaat Beels and Weekend aan Zee by Ilse Somers.

Maaike also stars in French-speaking films such as Get Born by Nicola Palo and Avec ma mère à la mer by Alexis van Stratum, and other international productions such as Goltzius & The Pelican Company by Peter Greenaway and Let Me Survive (aka: The Third Wave) by Eduardo Rossof.

In addition to her film work Maaike Neuville is also a well-known television actress. On stage, she's performed with various theatre groups, but since 2009 she's a member of Compagnie Marius.

In 2010 Maaike directed her first short film, Way Back. As a result of this she was invited to the Talent Campus at the Berlinale. In 2013 she made Sonnet 81, which already won several awards and is still travelling to festivals all over the world.

Using her experiences on both sides of the camera in her work, Maaike continues to combine acting and directing.

Apart from her mother tongue Flemish, Maaike is also fluent in French and English. She speaks German and has notions of Spanish. In 2009 she took a dance workshop with Julie Stanzak (Tanztheater Wuppertal).
