When it comes to terrifying horror movies, many horror fanatics love the blend of suspense, gore, and jump scares. Some of the most successful horror movies and franchises center around thrills and bloodshed. Audiences love the shock factor and excitement that comes from gore. But looking past the blood, some of the creepiest horror movies center around a horrifying journey and psychological torment.
A good horror story shines on its own and allows audiences to immerse themselves in the creative storytelling without needing the extra, over-the-top violence. Overlooked suspenseful horror movie The Others centers around a haunting atmosphere and creates an overwhelming sense of dread without needing a single drop of blood added to the story. Well-written creepy narratives and empathetic characters make the perfect blend for a compelling horror plot.

Hundreds of movies are released every year, although only a select few have such an impact that they maintain their relevance 50 years later. The 2010s were a great time for filmmakers and featured plenty of standout releases from iconic directors, acclaimed actors, and brilliant screenwriters. While many complain that this was also an era primarily associated with superhero films and franchise sequels, it’s important to highlight the films that truly left a mark and will remain in the public consciousness five decades from now.
The best films of the 2010s offered something unique and interesting for viewers to latch onto. It could be socially relevant horror movies, epic sci-fi adventures, or even psychologically rich kids’ movies that showcase audiences will respond to good filmmaking and give astounding releases the respect and admiration they deserve. While so many movies get forgotten due to the passage of time, all of these...

It often takes a while before a movie can be considered a classic, but some movies from the 2010s should already be treated as such. The phrase "instant classic" often gets bandied about, but this is merely a prediction. To count as a classic, a movie has to withstand the test of time. Plenty of movies receive critical acclaim upon release. Only a few of these movies are still watched and discussed decades later.
Some movies from the 2010s have influenced cinema already, pushing the boundaries of their genres and pioneering new styles. Directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan and Wes Anderson all created some of their best work in the 2010s. However, a classic movie is measured by more than just its impact. It also needs to be extremely popular, even years after release. For some movies from the 2010s, it's too soon to tell how time will treat them,...

The Menu, like other movies in its genre, delves into themes of class warfare and explores the consequences of wealth and privilege. Director Mark Mylod delivers a critical hit with The Menu, a thriller that challenges societal norms and expectations. Fans of The Menu will enjoy similar films like Get Out and Ready or Not that offer thought-provoking social commentaries with unexpected twists.
The Menu is a shocking thriller by director Mark Mylod, and its themes of class warfare and decadence can be found in various other movies like The Menu. In The Menu, a collection of wealthy diners, including Margot Mills (Anya Taylor Joy) attend a world-renowned restaurant on an island. As their meal progresses, it becomes clear that the rigid head chef Julian Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) has different intentions than just feeding his guests. The Menu asks questions about wealth and privilege, using its restaurant setting to explore the premise.

"You ready for this?" "How bad can it be?" Universal has revealed a trailer for a horror thriller titled Get Out, that is actually written & directed by comedian Jordan Peele - making his debut. This thriller tells a freaky story of a man in an interracial relationship who discovers what seems to be a white supremacist neighborhood when he visits his girlfriend's parents. Daniel Kaluuya stars with Allison Williams, and the cast includes Bradley Whitford, Catherine Keener, Betty Gabriel, Caleb Landry Jones, Lyle Brocato, Marcus Henderson, and LilRel Howery. The bingo scene in this is a pretty big giveaway, but the rest of it sets up this story in a perfectly creepy way. The hypnosis aspect adds even more eeriness to the whole thing. Also, I think that's Keith Stanfield in a few scenes, but he's not listed in the cast. Fire this up. Here's the first official trailer for Jordan Peele's Get Out,...

Texas Killing Fields Trailer. Ami Canaan Mann‘s Texas Killing Fields (2011) movie trailer stars Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chloe Moretz, Jessica Chastain, and Stephen Graham. Texas Killing Fields’ plot synopsis: “Texas Killing Fields follows a homicide detective in a small Texan town and his partner, a transplanted cop from NYC, as they track a serial killer dumping his victims’ mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call ‘The Killing Fields’”.
I pieced together from this trailer *spoiler begins* that Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character uses Chloe Moretz’s character off-the-books as bait for the serial killer and the serial killer takes it (her) *spoiler ends*. That is just conjecture on my part but from this movie trailer I think that is what happens. This film could be good, certainly better than languid Small Town Murder Songs.
Texas Killing Fields also stars Jason Clarke, Annabeth Gish, Sheryl Lee, Leanne Cochran,...

ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" isn't the network's only offering of backstabbing, deceptive ladies.
The origial movie "Revenge of the Bridesmaids," premiering Sunday, July 18 at 8 p.m. Et, has its own dose of vengeange hidden behind a feminine smile.
JoAnna Garcia as Parker and Raven-Symone as Abigail are BFFs who return to their Southern home town only to discover their mutual childhood friend Rachel (Chryssie Whitehead) has lost her man Tony (Lyle Brocato) to the conniving gold digger Caitlyn (Virginia Williams).
What to do? Go undercover as Caitlyn's bridesmaids and stop the wedding from happening of course. Naturally, no half-baked plan can actually succeed without incident, so there's a run-in with the cops, and Parker sorta falls for a groomsman (David Rogers), who's a cop as well. That's inconvenient.
This looks like it could be borderline painful, but we're hoping Garcia's usual adorable personality can save it.
