That was both good and bad news. It was good news because it allowed for competition to spring up in places like DreamWorks Animation and Illumination Entertainment. But the bad news was that, as was also the case with hand-drawn animation, there would be always cheaper options available. Yes, computer animation was in its nascent years, but it would improve. What if, though, some studios weren't able to progress technologically and had to use old-school-looking computer animation?...

Guns N’ Roses bandmates Duff McKagan and Slash have collaborated with Gibson CEO Cesar Gueikian on a new charity single titled “I Can Breathe.” It’s the lastest benefit song released under the Gibson Band moniker.

A year ago, System of a Down’s Serj Tankian and Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi appeared on the first Gibson Band charity single with Gueikian, a track called “Deconstruction.”

The new song, “I Can Breathe,” features McKagan on lead vocals, Slash on lead guitar and solos, and Gueikian on rhythm guitar and piano. The lyrics were penned by McKagan.

All proceeds from the song will benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness (Nami), through Gibson Gives.

“It was such a pleasure to work with Cesar and his whole crew on this tune,” said McKagan in a press release. “The musical slant and progressive rock-ness of this huge epic pushed me in a whole new direction.

Outside of playing in Guns N’ Roses, lead guitarist Slash and bassist-vocalist Duff McKagan have long championed mental health organizations. For Giving Tuesday, they’ve teamed with Cesar Gueikian, CEO of instrument maker Gibson, for a new single, “I Can Breathe,” which will raise money for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (Nami). Slash previously raised money for Nami via his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. music festival.

“I Can Breathe” feels a little more metal than the music Slash and McKagan have recorded with Gn’R and Velvet Revolver.

When a mysterious new client Jon (Cooper) admits under hypnosis that he is a murderer and intends on killing another young female that evening, Susannah knows he must be stopped at all costs.

“Mamma Mia!” star Dominic Cooper has joined the second season of U.K. police drama “Suspect.”

Fronted by Anne-Marie Duff (“Bad Sisters”), “Suspect” tells the story of bereaved psychotherapist Dr Susannah Newman (Duff) as she tries to track down a serial killer before he strikes again. The Channel 4 show is an adaptation of Danish series Forhøret (“Face to Face”) created by Christoffer Boe.

Cooper joins as a mysterious new client, Jon Fallow, who claims under hypnosis to be a murderer. When he reveals his plan to kill again, Susannah knows he must be stopped. Before the police arrive Jon escapes and Susannah sets out on a deadly mission to save his next victim’s life.

“I’m so pleased to be returning to ‘Suspect’ to be able to dig deeper into the character of Dr Susannah Newman,” said Duff. “Expect lots of twists, turns and revelations alongside more questions to be answered.
