Ninjas vs. Monsters Will Take Over Brooklyn December 8th: Festival Details
Coming off a World Premiere in Silver Spring, Maryland, Ninjas vs. Monsters will have a follow-up screening at the Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival. The screening will take place in New York, with this third film from director Justin Timpane (Ninjas vs. Zombies) rounding out a trilogy. So, Timpane is holding nothing back. In Ninjas vs. Monsters, the heroes team up with "monster hunting mercenaries" (Timpane) to thwart the plans of Dracula and his many henchmen. Dracula has recruited monster movie icons such as witches, Frankenstein, the Mummy, the Werewolf and many others to take down the Ninjas. Who will win? Ninjas vs. Vampires: Armed to the Teeth in this United Kingdom DVD Artwork
Left Films will be releasing Justin Timpane's Ninjas vs. Vampires on DVD August 22nd in the United Kingdom. This title has already released in North American May 3rd through Breaking Glass Pictures. The United Kingdom artwork is here, which shows men in latex, vampires and, strangely, several characters licking knives. Freud would have a field day with this image and fans of low budget entertainment will enjoy this title which has been reviewed positively here on 28Dla (Ninjas vs. Vampires Reviewed). Think back to the comedies of the 1990's like Clueless, Reality Bites, Clerks, etc. They had edge. They had bite. They captured the spirit and the essence of the Gen X slacker mentality to the tee. This period of film has been looked upon by fans fondly. There have been films that have tried to capture the essence and the spirit of these films, but too often do these films come across as feeling forced and labored.
