Attended Georgetown Day School with Josh Welsh where they both worked for The Augur Bit, the school newspaper.

In April 2017 he was one of many political leaders who participated in the march in Washington, D.C., calling for President Donald Trump to release his tax returns.

Son of Marcus Raskin, co-founder of the Institute for Policy Studies.

U.S. Representative (D) from Maryland (2017-present), representing the northern suburbs of Washington, D.C. including Bethesda, Rockville and Silver Spring; prior to 2023, his district extended north to the Pennsylvania border, including most of the area surrounding Frederick.

Tragically lost his only son Thomas Bloom Raskin to suicide 12/31/20.
