Ryan Penington attended Vancouver Film School in Canada, where he studied narrative fiction and documentary production. In 2001 he made his directorial debut with the feature film Foolproof Plan. Ever since, he's collaborated or churned out one stunning project after the other. Such as the documentaries Buying the Pharm and SXSW Film Festival favorite Los Wild Ones, and the award-winning indie Funny Fat Guy. As an editor, Ryan's keen eyes have helped shape numerous TV Series and feature films such as the recently distributed My Fiona. In addition to writing, editing and directing, Ryan has experience working in development, production and post-production for such networks as Animal Planet, Bravo and NBC Universal. Ryan currently resides in Los Angeles.
