Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for a streaming comedy series called Lovers Anonymous, about the kooky guy who runs a Love Hospital in Turkey. A fun look at love in the modern world. This looks like something along the lines of The Lobster or Fingernails or Equals. Cem, scarred by a childhood that crushed his trust in love, runs the "Love Hospital" (to cure those suffering from the "love disease") – until Hazal, who believes in the power of love, disrupts his life. Will they both change each other? Will Cem learn to appreciate the power of love? This stars Halit Ergenc, Funda Eryiğit, Rıza Kocaoğlu, Zerrin Nişancı, Selcuk Borak, İdil Fırat, Ceren Benderlioğlu, & Seda Akman. Plot Summary

Determined to infuse some excitement into his existence, he starts investigating the disappearance of a woman, an online dancer, which leads him into the murky underworld of real estate speculation in Istanbul.

A kind of Philip Marlowe parody (no secret) that is entertaining and refreshing. But is it good and original? Not at all, but it is gratifying to meet the character again and bring him back to these times that are so different to those days.

It’s neither great nor will it go down in history with all its conscious parodying of an obviously televisual format with regard to the photographic and plot aspects. However, it is entertaining in a familiar way and has a very eighties touch in terms of script structure, scene conception and general planning.
