During his return to the show (again), Bill recounts filming the Vw Californians commercial when the fires broke out and having to go with a news crew to access his home.

“So the fires are on Tuesday,” Bill recalls. “I wasn’t there because I was shooting the Vw commercial as the Californians… in Malibu. Kristen [Wiig], that morning said there’s a really bad windstorm coming, I’m really concerned about fires. First thing she said to me. And then we’re shooting and I look up, I saw smoke and the guys go, oh, don’t worry, that’s in the Palisades. I go, I live in the Palisades,...

Conan's 10 Funniest Clueless Gamer Reviews, Ranked
Image
Conan O'Brien is one of the best late night hosts of the past few decades. After hosting The Late Show, The Tonight Show, and Conan, the famed comedian has accrued a huge fan base. His podcast Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend (co-hosted by Sona Movsesian and Matt Gourley) has been highly successful for several years now, and the man is even set to host the Oscars this coming March. People can argue over whom the best talk show hosts, podcasters, and Oscar hosts are, but one thing's for sure: Conan's video game reviews are unmatched. It's easy to find yourself endlessly binge-watching Conan remotes, and that's especially true for the classic "Clueless Gamer" segment from his TBS show—in which he and tech-expert Aaron Bleyaert play a game (sometimes before its release) so that Conan can personally review it.

Conan O’Brien Regrets Flying 18 Hours to Tokyo to ‘Bomb’ in a Video Game
Image
Just because his talk show is over doesn’t mean that Conan O’Brien has had to abandon all of his regular segments. While the Masturbating Bear is unlikely to make a return appearance any time soon, Conan did just make another “Clueless Gamer” video.

“Clueless Gamer,” a staple of TBS’ Conan show, found novice video game user O’Brien routinely teaming up with enthusiastic gamer Aaron Bleyaert (and sometimes a celebrity guest) to try out famous titles ranging from Grand Theft Auto V, to Mario Kart 8, to the shitty E.T. Atari game that was buried in an unmarked mass grave in New Mexico.

For the newest installment, Conan and Bleyaert played a director’s cut of Death Stranding, made by famed video game creator Hideo Kojima. What sets Death Stranding apart from other games that have been featured on the show is that O’Brien is actually in the game.

How Messhall Kitchen Staffers Mounted the Restaurant’s First Film Festival With No Budgets, Overnight Shoots and Talented Regulars
Image
Click here to read the full article.

Los Feliz gastropub Messhall Kitchen has a new (and Hollywood-approved) item on its menu this November: a film festival.

It’s one that couldn’t happen anywhere else. The fest features eight short films, all of which were produced and filmed entirely at Messhall over an eight week period, accomplished by talent that is either on staff or frequently seated at restaurant tables.

Messhall server Jon Bangle and bartender Andrew Pack, both creative multi-hyphenates in their own right, conceived of the fest after surveying the scene and noting the potential of its talent pool. Their plan was met with overwhelming interest and they were able to produce the shorts (seven comedies and one drama) over an eight-week period by leaning into overnight shoots when Messhall was closed. Add to that small crews and no budgets, which seems like an insurmountable task but impossible...

Conan and Team Coco House Pop-Up Returns to Sdcc
Alec Bojalad Jul 20, 2019

Conan O'Brien is bringing back his pop-up comedy club, Team Coco House, to San Diego for Comic-Con 2019.

This article is presented by TBS and Team Coco

Conan O'Brien is making his triumphant return to San Diego Comic-Con. Just as the red-headed late night icon has in years past, Conan will be taping shows at Comic-Con International at San Diego's Spreckels Theatre from Wednesday July 17th through Saturday, July 20th.

But just like last year, however, Conan and his Team Coco have decided that there's no reason for just him to have all the fun. For the third year in a row, Team Coco and TBS have announced that Team Coco House, a pop-up comedy club will be returning to San Diego for Sdcc 2019. Team Coco House will feature a daily lineup of comics handpicked by O'Brien as well as podcasts, panels, trivia, giveaways, and some other surprise appearances.

Conan Is Baffled By Vintage Video Games
Conan O'Brien in Conan (2010)
Conan O'Brien's web series "Clueless Gamer" got a vintage twist this week: He played selections from the dawn of video games on an Atari 2600 console.

Accompanied by his ever-present web producer Aaron Bleyaert, Conan played decades-old titles like "Space Invaders" and the fabled "E.T." video game, often named the worst video game of all time. Check out the clip above to see Conan's reaction to these dusty old games.

The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien: NBC Wiping Out Remnants and Mentions of O'Brien
Though The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien went off the air on January 22nd, Friday was the last day for most of the show's employees. According to former Tonight Show blogger Aaron Bleyaert, it was the day that they had to pass in their parking passes, office keys, NBC badges, etc.

Bleyaert is still working until the 19th but went in on Friday to say some goodbyes and take photos of the offices being packed up and the elaborate set being destroyed. Andy Richtor posted an official-looking Eviction Notice from the Board of Health on his door.

Here are a couple photos that Bleyaert took of the greenroom and deconstructed set. Head on over to his blog to see more of the depressing images.

The images are quite a contrast to the construction video...
