Award-winning director and screenwriter. More than fifteen years of film experience in projects made in Chile, Spain, Perú, Cuba, México, Poland, and the United States with a special focus on productions directed by self-identified women.
She's developing her first feature "Desierto Rosa" ("Pink Desert") which was awarded the Chilean Ministry of Culture's funds for production (2024), rewriting (2022), and development (2021). It was also selected for the prestigious MAFIZ 2025 (Co-pro side bar in Málaga Film Festival) (Spain), "Curso de Desarrollo de Proyectos Iberoamericanos 2022" sponsored by Fundación Carolina (Spain), the "Cine Qua Non-Lab" screenwriting lab (México), co-production workshop Este Lab (Perú) and awarded by "Sloan Screenplay Award" at Columbia University, her alma mater (2020).
Constanza's latest short film "My Independence Day" awards include: Best Shortfilm "Competencia Conexión Bogoshorts" (2024, Colombia), Jury Prize in: Breakthroughs Film festival (2024, Canadá), Ismalia International Film Festival (2024, Egypt), NBR Student Grant (2023, US), Adrienne Shelly Foundation Award for Best Female Director (2023, US), the James Ponsoldt Award for Best Director (2023, US)), a Katharina Otto-Bernstein Production Grant (2020,US) and Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual (Ministry of Culture, Chile) in 2022.
