Started his career in the music business as a drummer moving onto his own 12 piece Show band. During this time setting up a music Production/Publishing company R & T Producions with fellow musician Bob Robertson. Got his first taste in Film & TV as Musical Director on a C4 film called P'tang, Yang, Kipperbang. After finishing Media school he went on to work on numerous Film & TV productions. In 2009/10 Mal spent 6 months in Israel working on a C4 six part drama called The Promise and decided in 2011 to move to Tel Aviv where he has a Production company called STF Productions.
As well as Producer Mal works as a freelance News cameraman and is a member of The Chartered Institute of Journalists.
