Jasmine Crockett: ‘It’s Time for Republicans to Question Trump’s Mental Acuity’
Image
Following Donald Trump’s bizarre speech to West Point graduates, where the president opined on topics ranging from yachts and trophy wives to drag shows and golf, Rep. Jasmine Crockett is calling on Republicans to “start calling him out and start questioning his mental acuity, and whether or not he is equipped to serve mentally.”

Crockett: It is time for Republicans to start calling him out and start questioning his mental acuity, and whether or not he is equipped to serve mentally. We know when it comes down to his criminality,...

Rory McIlroy Wins Masters 2025, Makes Golf History as Sixth Player to Complete Grand Slam
Image
Rory McIlroy has joined an elite group of golfers after winning The Masters for the first time!

The 35-year-old Irish golfer defeated Justin Rose in a sudden-death playoff to win the Masters on Sunday (April 13) at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

The Masters is the only one of the four major tournaments in golf that uses a sudden-death format to determine a winner. The two finalists alternated the 18th and 10th holes until a winner was determined. It only took one hole for Rory to win!

Rory‘s prize for winning the Masters is $4.2 million out of the $21 million purse.

The best prize of all is that Rory is now one of just six people to complete golf’s modern Grand Slam, which consists of winning the Masters, the U.S. Open, the British Open, and the PGA Championship.

The first four players to complete the Grand Slam were Jack Nicklaus,...

We May Already Know Who Giancarlo Esposito is Reportedly Playing in Captain America 4 and it’s a Huge Letdown
Image
Giancarlo Esposito has been cast in the MCU in a role that fans are not aware of. According to the actor, the role is such that it could spawn a series of its own. Previously, Esposito had expressed his interest in playing the role of Charles Xavier, but without the wheelchair. The actor had also been speculated to be in the running to play some of Marvel’s bigger characters like Doctor Doom or Galactus.

Giancarlo Esposito as Stan Edgar in The Boys | Amazon Studios

There are multiple characters that Giancarlo Esposito could play, but it is difficult to pinpoint which it could be. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is no stranger to introducing original characters in the MCU, or even race-bending or gender-bending them. Therefore, speculating what the actor might be up to in the franchise can be tricky. However, there are some roles that would thoroughly disappoint fans and...

Genndy Tartakovsky doesn’t need to be told twice when it comes to animation. Kit Harington’s Recent Comments Reveal More About His Eternals Character's MCU Future
Image
Kit Harington has revealed that he doesn't want to take on heroic roles following his starring role of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. This could mean that Dane Whitman, a.k.a. the Black Knight, in the MCU will become a villain, rather than a superhero. Dane Whitman's Black Knight could return in Blade, or in any number of potential United Kingdom-based MCU projects, including those rumored to feature Captain Britain.

Kit Harington may have revealed more about his future in the MCU as Dane Whitman, a.k.a. the Black Knight. Kit Harington achieved international acclaim after debuting as Jon Snow in HBO's Game of Thrones between 2011 and 2019, and this reportedly saw him become one of the highest-paid actors on television. Harington went on to star in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, Pompeii, Brimstone and Gunpowder, before finally joining the MCU as Dane Whitman in 2021's Eternals. However, there...

Kit Harington Says He’s Excited To Take On Dirtbag Role In ‘Blood For Dust’ Film
Image
Jon Snow may know nothing, as the famous line from Game of Thrones goes. But the actor who played him, Kit Harington, knows he is happy to step outside the hero role and flex another side of his acting chops.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor expressed delight at taking on a different sort of character in the neo-Western, Blood for Dust.

Harington plays Ricky, a drugs and arms dealer, who works for a cartel.

“I rarely get the opportunity to play the Rickys of this world, the antagonistic dirtbag types, and I was excited to be presented with that opposite an actor like Scoot,” Harington said.

Harington adopts a mustache and American accent in the film. It’s all part of his plan to expand his range. While Harington won the role of Black Knight in Eternals, backlash makes it unlikely that he will reprise the character in future projects.

Game of Thrones' Kit Harington Shares Candid View of Hero Roles; 'They're F*cking Hard to Play'
Image
Kit Harington seemed to be heading down a route of heroic roles thanks to the reported Jon Snow spin-off continuing his Game of Thrones journey, and his potential appearance as Black Knight in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now neither of those roles is certain, and for Harington, that is good because he finds playing heroes with morals “f*cking hard.”

Harington’s new role in the movie, Blood for Dust, sees him playing the villainous character of Ricky, which is a world away from his most iconic roles. While speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the movie, he explained how playing Ricky, a ruthless arms dealer entangled in illegal activities across the tri-state area, is exactly the kind of role he has been looking for.

"That is seemingly what I've been hunting a bit. If I look at the roles I've taken since playing an out-and-out hero in Game of Thrones,...

'They're F—ing Hard to Play': Kit Harington Grew Weary of Heroic Roles After Game of Thrones
Image
Kit Harington is very well known for portraying the Game of Thrones character Jon Snow, one of the most recognizable heroes in pop culture. The actor is now eager to take on playing much more dastardly characters, feeling that the more "f***ed up" might be, the better.

In his new film, Blood for Dust, Harington plays a villain named Ricky, and the actor spoke with Entertainment Weekly about how he rarely gets the opportunity to "play the Rickys of this world, the antagonistic dirtbag types." The Eternals actor, who also plays Black Knight in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, addressed how he's now gravitating toward more villainous roles, admitting that it's much more difficult to effectively play the hero.

Scooby and Mystery Inc. has been redone and had multiple series, animated and live-action movies based on it. Despite that, fans almost always end up coming back to the original series and the original unmasking of the villains. While there are a bunch of episodes with a high nostalgia factor, there are always some that are better than the others. 'Black Knight' Review: Netflix Series Is 'Fury Road' Meets 'Silo'
Image
While it isn’t always as gripping as it tries to reach for, there is a delightfully cartoonish nature to the world of Black Knight that is juxtaposed against the darkness of its dystopian premise. Some of this makes sense — considering it is actually based on a webtoon — but it also becomes far more expansive than that. There may be some who attempt to superficially compare it to another South Korean series like Squid Game because of the way it introduces a dangerous competition, but a more apt point of reference would be the masterpiece that is Mad Max: Fury Road. Though none of the six episodes of Black Knight are as ambitious and assured as that film, with some of its special effects often glaringly hollow, there is still an enduring charm to the experience that breaks free in some of the more chaotic sequences. When the action begins...

Kim Woobin Interview: Black Knight
Image
Netflix is diving into dystopian futures once more with the latest gem from Korea, Black Knight. Starring Kim Woo-bin (The Heirs) and Esom (Kill Boksoon), the 6-episode series is a high-octane thriller that envisions a world with air pollution so severe that the remaining 1% of the population left alive relies on special "delivery men" to for their vital necessities. This post-apocalyptic version of Korea is run by the mighty Cheonmyeong Group, but one delivery man known as 5-8 (Woo-bin) sees them for the vultures they truly are.

Though Black Knight is based on a popular webtoon, director Cho Ui-seok's vision for the series has taken a different turn from its source material. One such instance is the young protagonist Sa-wol (played by Start Up's Kang Yoo-seok), a refugee who was secretly taken in by Defense Intelligence Command officer Seol-ah (Esom). After a tragedy strikes close to home, he decides...

Kim Woobin On Reuniting With Esom In Black Knight 13 Years After Debut
Image
Black Knight is a dystopian Korean drama based on the Delivery Knight webtoon by Lee Yoon-gyun, but it also serves as a long overdue reunion for stars Kim Woo-bin and Esom. The two actors previously appeared together in the KB2 drama special series White Christmas in 2011, a psychological thriller whose bleak premise might rival their current Netflix project. In Black Knight, they are joined by the younger actor Kang Yoo-seok (Start-Up), whose character Sa-wol has much to learn from each of them.

The story of Black Knight opens in 2071, after a cataclysmic change in air pollution has made Earth nearly uninhabitable. Only 1% of the population survives, and the Korean peninsula relies on heroic deliverymen, known as Black Knights, to bring them daily necessities. Woo-bin plays 5-8, a mysterious delivery man who reluctantly takes the young Sa-wol under his wing. Esom plays Sa-wol's guardian Seol-ah, whose investigation into mysterious deaths intertwines...

Kim Woobin Shares His Approach To Acting In The World Of Black Knight
Image
Netflix's upcoming Korean drama Black Knight may be based on a webtoon, but those familiar with the original story will find that the series offers a very different experience. To begin with, the protagonist Sa-wol (played by Start Up's Kang Yoo-seok) is a boy instead of a girl, though his admiration of 5-8 (The Heirs star Kim Woo-bin) and the deliveryman program remains the same. The series was written and directed by Choi Ui-seok, who previously teamed up with Woo-bin on the 2016 hit Master.

The filmmaker and star's familiarity with each other strengthens the unfamiliar world of Black Knight, especially as it provides the opportunity to dig into the psyche of a character as stoic as 5-8 tends to be. The world of futuristic science fiction is relatively new to Woo-bin, who dipped his toe in it last year with Alienoid, and he shared his research process with Screen Rant...

The MCU Already Introduced a Weapon That Can Cut Wolverine’s Bones
Image
There is one weapon in the Marvel Universe that is able to cut through every known substance, including Wolverine's adamantium skeleton: the Ebony Blade. This legendary sword is usually wielded by the Black Knight, and it already made its debut in the post-credits scene in Eternals, which shows Kit Harrington's Dane Whitman opening an ominous case that contains a black sword - the Ebony Blade.

There are very few things in the Marvel Universe that can damage adamantium, which plays a huge role in what makes Wolverine so hard to kill. The blade was forged by Merlin, who enchanted it with a curse that causes any that use the Ebony Blade to become overwhelmed with bloodlust, getting worse with each death it brings. Dane Whitman has been able to overcome that bloodlust, which makes him the hero and Avenger that he is, but others who wield the Ebony...

Tiger Woods Has Surgical Procedure After Withdrawing From Masters Tournament
Image
After he was forced to withdraw from the Masters Tournament earlier this month due to an injury, Tiger Woods revealed on Wednesday that he had to undergo surgery to fix a pre-existing condition.

“Earlier today, Tiger underwent a subtalar fusion procedure to address his post-traumatic arthritis from his previous talus fracture,” Woods’ team tweeted on Wednesday. “It was performed by Dr. Martin O’Malley at Hss Sports Medicine Institute in New York City. He has determined the surgery to be successful.”

“Tiger is currently recovering and looks forward to beginning his rehabilitation,” the message continued. According to FootcareMD.org, a subtalar fusion surgery, which addresses damaged joints near the ankle, “locks bones together and is appropriate for diseased joints that can’t be replaced. Once a fusion heals together, it acts as one unit and can restore function and provide significant pain relief.”

Tiger Woods Makes Masters Cut, Tied For Longest Streak In Tournament History
Image
Update Sunday Am: Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Masters Sunday morning just before the third round.

The tournament was suspended by bad weather Saturday. Even then, Woods seemed hobbled, the wet grounds making it difficult to walk on his surgically repaired right leg from a 2021 car crash. Woods, 47, barely made the cut for the third round.

“I am disappointed to have to Wd this morning due to reaggravating my plantar fasciitis,” Woods wrote on Twitter today. “Thank you to the fans and to @TheMasters who have shown me so much love and support. Good luck to the players today!”

Earlier: It was close, but five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods made the Masters cut Saturday for the 23rd consecutive time. That ties him with Fred Couples and Gary Player for the tournament’s longest streak.

Woods needed Justin Thomas or South Korea’s Sungjae Im to post a bogey (one...

Tiger Woods Withdraws From Masters Before Completing 3rd Round
Image
Tiger Woods withdrew from the Masters before the resumption of the third round because of an injury Sunday, ending his streak of completing all 72 holes of every tournament he has played at Augusta National as a professional.

The tournament announced about 90 minutes before play began that Woods, who is still hobbled by the effects of the 2021 car accident that nearly cost him his right leg, had withdrawn. He’d limped through practice rounds early in the week and again during the first and second rounds, but the limp had become more pronounced as the weather worsened.

“I am disappointed to have to Wd this morning due to reaggravating my plantar fasciitis,” Woods said on Twitter. “Thank you to the fans and to (at)TheMasters who have shown me so much love and support. Good luck to the players today!”

Koepka pulls away four clear of the field, Rahm still second at Masters
Image
Augusta, April 9 (Ians) Brooks Koepka added one more birdie to his total to get to 13-under, even as his closest rival, Jon Rahm, slipped from 10-under to nine-under and the lead had swelled to four shots at the 87th Masters.

The play was suspended just as the lead trio approached the seventh green, which itself had a lot of water. That means the lead group, Koepka, Rahm and amateur Sam Bennett will need to play almost 30 holes on Sunday.

Augusta National officials announced that play will resume on Sunday at 8.30 am and the final round with players starting from first and tenth is expected to begin at 12.30 pm.

By the time play was called off, Koepka with a customary birdie on the Par-5 second — his seventh on a Par-5 apart from one eagle — had moved to 13-under, while Rahm, who started the third round at 10-under, picked a shot on...

Golfer Gallacher happy to be back to defend Indian Open title after almost four years
Image
Gurugram, Feb 22 (Ians) Stephen Gallacher finally gets the opportunity to defend his Indian Open title more than 1400 days after he won it as India’s national open returns to the Dp World Tour schedule for the first time in four years.

Scot MacIntyre aces 16th as Olesen, Hojgaard vie to be first Danes to win Indian Open

Gurugram, Feb 21 (Ians) Robert MacIntyre is an elegant left-hander with a lot of grit and determination but still feels that the Dlf Golf and Country Club is going pose a stiff challenge as he sets out to win the US$ 2 million Indian Open trophy that his countryman Stephen Gallacher won at the last staging in 2019.

Saying the course would be a mental test, he added, “I would be amazed if you see double digits this week. It’s a mental test more than anything.”

Yet, MacIntyre had a hole-in-one on the 16th, which every player admits is the start of the three toughest finishing holes on any course on the Dp World Tour.

Ghost Rider Actor Willing to Return to the MCU

Even though Agents of Shield and its loose connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe seem to be a thing of the past, there still might be a chance for fan favorite characters to return if the circumstances are right. We’ve already seen Anson Mount reprise his role as Black Bolt from the short-lived Inhumans series in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and thanks to the ever-expanding multiverse of the MCU it could be only a matter of time before we see other fan-favorite characters appear.

Why Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool Is Obsessed With Monty Python
Image
The Deadpool movies featuring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc With A Mouth made a number of references to Monty Python. Founded in 1969, the legendary comedy troupe redefined sketch comedy with their series Monty Python's Flying Circus, which ran for four seasons on the BBC. They later developed a cult status in the United States with the release of their second film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

The Pythons officially parted ways professionally in 1983 but continued to work together on other non-Monty Python projects. Their influence on modern comedy cannot be understated, so it is understandable that Ryan Reynolds would turn to the Pythons for inspiration in his development of the Deadpool comics into a film franchise. Reynolds' work, however, went beyond simply referencing Monty Python, going out of his way to honor their comedic legacy.

Anticipation is high for the MCU’s Blade movie, but the success of the film is going to be highly challenged by the franchise itself. The MCU’s Blade is already set up for failure as it will be compared to the earlier movie adaptations that starred Wesley Snipes in the titular role. While Mahershala Ali’s Blade is likely to be an exciting portrayal of the character, the demand for the movie to be perfect will be high from the very beginning.

First introduced in Marvel Comics “The Tomb of Dracula” issue #10, Blade’s vampiric vampire hunter has been around since 1973. The Wesley Snipes movies were some of the first truly successful comic book adaptation movies and helped to pave the way for franchises like the MCU. However, in an ironic twist, the scope and plans for the MCU could risk dooming the Daywalker’s role in the franchise...

Every Ancient Relic In MCU Phase 4 (& How Powerful They Are)
Image
McU's Phase 4 brings a lot of new characters and locations to the film franchise, but it also introduces several ancient and powerful relics with little information on their backstory so far. There are tons of incredible weapons seen throughout the MCU such as the infinity gauntlet, Stormbreaker, Captain America's shield, and Iron Man's tech, but they do not compare to the few ancient relics seen in Phase 4. With Phases 5 & 6 coming into play over the next four years, it's possible there could be more of these interesting relics introduced to the MCU.

The ancient relics in Phase 4 are building on a trend that the Multiverse Saga is setting up. Sporadically a new Marvel project introduces a very powerful weapon with a new hero and lightly touches on its history and powers. So far, there are only four powerful relics introduced in Phase 4, with only two of them used consistently...

Eventually Jacks gets caught up in a scheme between Mordred and Dane Whitman with Mordred attempting to obtain the cursed Ebony Blade. It was later revealed that Jacks is Dane's daughter he never knew about - after he abandoned her mother - and the two decide to split the heroic title of the Black Knight, sharing the darkly powerful Ebony Blade.

Blade Could Finally Pay Off A Doctor Strange Deleted Scene
Image
A deleted scene from Doctor Strange features a major MCU setup that was cut, but the upcoming Blade movie is the perfect opportunity to pay it off. There is still a lot to learn about Blade, with the McU's first movie following the vampire hunter set to release in 2024 and few details revealed so far. However, if this fantastic setup were to be brought back anywhere in the MCU, then Mahershala Ali's Blade seems like the best place to do it.

2017's Doctor Strange finally put a focus on magic in the MCU, with the film featuring references to various magic users and powerful enchanted objects from the comics. The Marvel comic books are populated by a seemingly endless number of magic users, many of which haven't been formally introduced in the MCU yet. However, magic users that are featured tend to be debuted in connection to Doctor Strange,...

Conan and Deathlok, along with the heroes, are shoved back in time to Conan's era. During their fighting, latent memories within Deathlok's human brain are activated, and he realizes that he is actually an adult version of the Spider-Man Miles Morales.

Nightcrawler's Dark New Form Gets the Perfect X-Men Codename
Image
Warning: spoilers ahead for Legion of X #8!Recently, the X-Men’s Nightcrawler has taken on a dark new form - and now it gets the perfect nickname. Nightcrawler is the heart and soul of the team, and one of its most popular members, but now he has grown demonic-looking horns that give him a far more sinister appearance. In Legion of X #8, this new look gets compared to Krampus, a frightful creature from European mythology. The issue is on sale now in print and digital.

Nightcrawler is struggling with his new look, which is influencing him to act in a more aggressive, animalistic manner. While the new Black Knight consoles him, however, Kurt runs across some German kids, who instantly identify him as "Krampus." Krampus is a European folk character, usually associated with the Christmas holidays. Unlike Santa Claus, who brings presents to good children, Krampus punishes the naughty ones.

Deven Mack & Logan McPherson Interview: Sonic Prime
Image
Warning: Mild spoilers for Sonic PrimeFans who are starved for a more serious, darker version of Sonic the Hedgehog rather than the one based on the video games may view with skepticism Netflix's upcoming Sonic Prime show from WildBrain's executive producers Erik Wiese and Logan McPherson. It's understandable. Moreover, the official trailer makes it abundantly clear that Sonic (voiced by actor Deven Mack) somehow gets transported away from his own world yet again, and although the blue hedgehog thankfully doesn't appear to be going places where humans abound like in Sonic X or in Paramount's soon-to-be movie trilogy, critical fans undoubtedly want to see more of where Sonic actually comes from.

Although Sonic Prime takes place in a world that's heavily influenced by the videogames (it begins in and features flashbacks from the Green Hill Zone), the upcoming Netflix series could actually appeal to those who prefer...

The McU's New Ultimate Weapon is Marvel's Version of A Red Lantern Ring
Image
Warning: Contains spoilers for Legion of X #8!The Ebony Blade is the MCU’s new ultimate weapon, and it functions just like a Red Lantern ring does in DC Comics. In a preview for Legion of X #8, readers see the Ebony Blade in action and learn that it runs on hatred, not only drawing on it as a source of power but amplifying it as well. If this sounds familiar, it is because the Red Lanterns of the DC Universe work the exact same way.

The Ebony Blade, wielded by the Black Knight, is one of the most powerful weapons in the Marvel Universe; it first appeared in 1955’s Black Knight #1. It was forged by Merlin from the Starstone meteorite, allegedly made of materials left over from the Big Bang. The Blade can cut through nearly any substance as well as deflect magic, but using it carries a price: nearly...

Kit Harington Hints That the Jon Snow Spinoff Will Be About Grappling Trauma
Image
Kit Harington is giving fans a hint as to where HBO's Jon Snow spinoff of "Game of Thrones" will pick up the story with everyone's favorite broody King in the North. Speaking at the official "Game of Thrones" convention on Dec. 11, Harington spoke about Jon's ending, and though he didn't mention the spinoff by name, he pointed toward where the show could pick up.

"Game of Thrones" viewers probably don't need a reminder of the show's controversial ending, but season eight wrapped up with Jon Snow deciding he wasn't going to try to claim the Iron Throne, despite the fact that he was a Targaryen by birth, served as the King in the North, and had a claim to the seat. Instead, after assassinating Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) - who was his lover, his aunt, and his queen - he went to live in the North, beyond the Wall, with...

15 Best Black Panther Comics Characters Not In The MCU
Image
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever expands the world of Wakanda by introducing new characters. Some rank with the best Black Panther comic characters yet to appear in the MCU, including the most important figures in Marvel Comics history and the superhero genre itself, like Namor the Sub-Mariner.

Black Panther's connection to colossal figures like Doctor Doom and Storm makes him an ideal conduit to introduce these iconic characters into the movie franchise. Beyond those titans, other great Black Panther comic book characters should join the live-action universe, including villains, allies, and in some cases, Black Panther variants from the multiverse.

Updated on November 24th, 2022, by Darby Harn

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever finally brings Namor to the big screen. The oldest Marvel Comics character - he first appeared in Marvel Comics #1 in 1939 - took the longest time to get to the MCU. Other prominent icons from the comics likely arrive much faster,...

An Original X-Men Member Just Got His Darkest 'Upgrade' Ever
Image
Warning: Contains spoilers for Legion of X #7Warren Worthington III debuted as the winged mutant hero Angel, one of the five original members of the X-Men, and although he has been through several brutal transformations over his long publication history, the recent Legion of X #7 has introduced his most horrifying, bestial form yet.

First introduced in 1963's The X-Men #1 - created by legends Stan Lee and Jack Kirby - Warren Worthington III is the handsome heir to the vast Worthington fortune, and has operated as a core member of the X-Men or one of their offshoot groups since his debut. While Angel is typically viewed as an immensely heroic character, after the then-villain Apocalypse got his hands on him in 1987 and turned him into his Horseman of Death, Warren was transformed into the murderous, blue-skinned "Archangel." This monstrous identity has returned several times and plagued Warren since his initial transformation,...

10 Marvel Comics Villains That Died Sooner Than Fans Expected
Image
Killmonger died in 2018's Black Panther, taking arguably the McU's most compelling villain off the board immediately. Though villains tend to survive their encounters with superheroes in Marvel Comics more often than in the movies, some villains died sooner than expected, including iconic characters like the Green Goblin.

Many villains ultimately return, as Killmonger potentially does in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but some stayed dead in the comics for years and even decades. Others remain dead, yet to be swept up into the endless cycle of death and resurrection that most characters in the superhero genre experience at some point in their stories.

Elektra

Elektra started in Marvel Comics as a powerful Daredevil villain, fighting him while on a mission to assassinate another criminal. Her popularity increased with the complex relationship she shares with Matt Murdock, but she died not long after her introduction. She first appeared in Daredevil #168 but...

Eternals: Kit Harington doesn’t know Marvel’s plans for Dane Whitman
Image
Kit Harington entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dane Whitman in Eternals. While his role wasn’t the biggest, it set the character up to become the Black Knight somewhere down the line. The post-credit scene of Eternals involved Dane Whitman finding the Ebony Blade, but so far there’s been no indication of when Kit Harington will be back.

While speaking with THR, Kit Harington said that he knew that his character might a future in the franchise from the very start. “I kind of knew that that might be a possibility,” Harington said. “I wasn’t that interested in rocking up in a Marvel movie just to play someone’s boyfriend. I knew of some future possibilities, so that’s always been part of the conversation. But like with anything, you don’t really know. You sort of do your research on what character it could be, and you go,...

Kit Harington Reveals Why He Took His Role In Eternals As Dane Whitman
Image
Eternals actor Kit Harington reveals the reason that he signed on to play Dane Whitman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Directed by Chloé Zhao, Eternals premiered in November 2021, branching out in terms of genre and character to explore the celestial side of the MCU in more depth. With a star-studded cast including Gemma Chan, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry, and many others, the film set itself apart from most MCU films. Though divisive, the superhero epic introduced many important players to the franchise at once, including the powerful Eternals themselves as well as Harrington's character Dane.

Introduced as Sersi's (Chan) boyfriend, Dane worked at the London Natural History Museum. Dane was sidelined for much of the movie and ultimately had a minor presence in Eternals. However, some intriguing details such as his suspicions about Sersi's true nature, mentions of his mysterious family, and a titillating post-credits scene,...

Will The Eternals Return To The MCU? Here's What We Know
Image
We have not, it seems, seen the last of Sersi and the gang, as the Eternals are going to appear again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The question is, when will they show up? And, perhaps more importantly, where are they going to show up? We will get into some speculation and analysis but first, let's go over precisely what we know.

Producer Nate Moore recently spoke with the folks at Comicbook.com, and amazingly enough, he was pretty straightforward when asked whether or not 2021's "Eternals" was the end of the line for those characters. "I don't want to spoil anything, but we have not seen the last of those characters," Moore said. So there we have it!

That answer does, however, leave much to be desired. Moore is incredibly unspecific. Not only does he not mention any specific projects or a timeline, but he doesn't touch on any specific characters,...

Peter Jackson Wanted Dead Alive To Be A Splatter Film That Non-Horror Fans Could Love
Image
Peter Jackson's 1992 film "Braindead," released in North America as "Dead Alive," while certainly an object of intimidation for gore-averse cineastes, remains, at its heart, a comedy film. Jackson has spoken in the past about how "Dead Alive" was not inspired so much by raw, hard-edged gore films like "Cannibal Holocaust," and more by the whimsical violence of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." A notable scene in the 1974 comedy classic features a bridge sentry, the Black Knight (John Cleese), getting into a swordfight with King Arthur (Graham Chapman). Over the course of the fight, his extremities are sliced off one by one, only to return to battle unfazed. While blood spurts copiously from each severed limb, the Black Knight doesn't seem to feel any pain.

When he is reduced to a mere head and torso, only then will he admit that his swordfight will now have to be declared a draw.
