- L.J. Davis was born Linza Joseph Davis II in rural NW Indiana. His love of film and filmmaking is rooted in the movies he watched in his 1980's and early 1990's youth. Films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Back to the Future, Jaws, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, The Goonies and Dazed and Confused, among others, grew his fascination for the art form. His love of film and filmmaking only grew from there. In high school in the 1990's he wrote scripts for fake commercials, news spots and comedy skits for his high school drama, film and speech classes. He acted the scenes out with classmates, filmed them and enjoyed the responses they received when presented to the class. He did so again in college. His medical professional career took him away from filmmaking, but he continued to write short stories and scripts. Two decades after college he finally pursued his lifelong dream of making films. In 2020 he wrote a screenplay that would become his debut feature film. While working in the ER during the Covid Pandemic he wrote the scenes to cope with the things he was seeing as a result of Covid. In 2021 he created the Scare Time Studios production company with his wife Anjanette Davis. In 2023 preproduction began on L.J.s first filmmaking ventures.
